The big problem with the game is that it’s not competitive; only a few gods are being favored, and the rest simply cannot compete. I’m referring to the poor game balance and those annoying raids that only benefit 3 gods: Poseidon, Susanoo, and Odin. Those 3 gods have always been at the top of the ranked ladder because it’s easy for them to win every match in 12 minutes, as other players simply quit the game because they can’t counter those raids.

Initially, the upgrade with the Cuicacalli Training was needed simply to be able to use this unit at all. And back then, huey huey was the choice for using the coyote unit. Now, the coyote has been given even higher armor than it would have had with the upgrade in the past. There’s absolutely no point in spending favor on this upgrade. It's been a dream of mine since as long as I could remember to put Age of Mythology on a stage and bring the talent that this game has across oceans to meet in real life and show what they are made of. 19 minutes still can't find a match on 4vs4, I can get a match in 1vs1 but any team game modes is very much dead and the fact it says that 800 players online in game is a little disappointing

I’m on Xbox and bought the season pass while playing the game on game pass, it downloaded all the expansions but they don’t work. I tried reinstalling and nothing worked, anyone have this issue?

As the title says. My only guess is map size? It takes longer to rush enemies, so they can all build up and overwhelm me? I'm playing on standard. It doesn't make sense. Beating them alone is easy, then it feels impossible when I add a CP on my team... edit: 1v8 on Jotunheim

Hi all, I previously posted here about Obelisk , my CaptureAge-style Spectator Overlay project for Retold. I recently overhauled the entire design of it so that it's more similar to the default spectator UI, and added more features and improvements. Obelisk currently supports spectating 1v1s only, but may be expanded to support spectating team games in the future. Here are all of the features of Obelisk: Total army value for each player Army trade for each player (i.e. how much of the opponent's army that the player has destroyed throughout the game) Total worker population for each player (tooltip shows the number of workers and the type of worker, i.e. " 10 citizens, 3 hero citizens ", or " 10 peasants, 2 kuafus ") Idle worker count for each player Number of fishing ships for each player Number of caravans for each player An upgrades panel in the top-right and top-left that always shows the current level of upgrade for the following upgrades: food/wood/gold/weapon/armor/shield/ballistics/fortified town center Improved custom unit/research queue Live charts that you can bring up throughout the game for Army value, Income, Worker count, Worker kills, and Map Control View total number of gathered resources for both players by simply clicking on the resource (click again to toggle back to current resource amount). Unit composition panels for both players (middle-left and middle-right sides of the screen) Relics for each player (tooltip shows the names+descriptions of relics that the player is in possession of. War salamander was a really cool unit, It had that mythical touch that made something relatively "vanilla" feel threatening and powerful, like the winged serpent of the Egyptians. I mean, it's just a salamander, yes, but it's awesome! It was a bit of a tank; it could crush buildings and cross water without any problems. I'm surprised that, given the Yellow River's strong association with China, they didn't incorporate this aspect into the game. Compared to any of the other three stupid choices from the heroic age, they're all the same creature stereotype with little identity between them and don't feel particularly unique.
