Hello everyone and welcome to the age of Mythology Academy series and today we're having Isis on the menu. So the match up is Isis against Thor. The build order is quite straightforward. There are plenty of them posted on my YouTube channel if you would like to focus on that. Today we will be focusing on the follow-ups, the macro and the decision-making. So we'll pretty much just see four villagers on food, drop the monument right just before getting on hunt. One villager is about to go just to gather eight wood and then we can upgrade pickaxe. And with a priest we're sending the priest away to scout around. And we're looking to drop some very aggressive obelisks when we start having some gold in the bank. There we go. We're getting the pickaxe. Flood of Nile is on the way as well. And we Once you drop your first obelisk, scout more aggressively. Look out for all town centers when I know whether our opponent is going to be grabbing a fast second town center or whether he's looking to classical fight. I know devs are reading the forums and reddit and doing their best to solve all the bugs they possibly can but this is getting out of hand. Every new patch is adding bugs or simply not fixing what they are supposed to fix. Attack move has been patched like 5 times and it is still not working properly; Shift queue bug, while never truly fixed, got worse after last patch; Out of syncs have returned; Walls and villager AI still have multiple bugs; Multiple other miscellaneous bugs were introduced as we can see on bug report area in this forum. Please devs, I know you are working hard, but I beg you to pay close attention to our “bug report” section of these forums and try to fix all those bugs. We, as the community, are doing our best to inform you of everything not working with the game on these forums and reddit. It’s up to you now. Please, don’t let us down.

I would honestly love to see some official behind-the-scenes videos or mini documentaries about how the Age of Mythology: Retold civilizations were made. Not only the new ones like the Chinese, Japanese, and Aztecs, but also the older civs. For example, how did the team decide which new gods to add, like Freyr or Demeter? What sources did they use? How did they approach mythology, historical references, unit design, god powers, voice acting, campaign writing, music, art direction, and all those details we only see once the final product is released? I know that for very old civilizations and myths, sometimes there may not be a lot of clear information available, so I think it would be really interesting to see how the developers handled that: what they kept faithful, what they had to adapt, and how they balanced myth, history, gameplay, and the identity of each civilization. You can really tell there is a lot of work behind what we see in-game, and I would love to see more of that process from an official source. Maybe AoM is not as popular as the other Age games, so this kind of content is less likely, but I think many of us would really enjoy it. A documentary covering all the new civilizations would be great, but honestly, individual videos for each civilization would be even better.

Is it only me or did they do some big improvements to the bot behavior? Currently playing 1vs1 with Aztecs vs a random bot on extreme. At first it was okay but since the last minor patch I feel like it is really hard. I sometimes have to deal with 3 attacks on very different locations on the map at once. Barely have time to rebuild after the last attack. Games which used to last 30 minutes now last 60 minutes and I really have to try hard and often take so much eco damage until min 20 that I can directly resign. Not sure if it is the case and the devs improved the bots but it yes: Well done. Feels a lot more like a real player now.

I heard boit say that practicing fast 2 TC against AI is good. But I think only certain gods can do this. I can win with 1 TC and harrasing but 2 TC seems impossible. What are ur thoughts?

When a Oracle is upgraded to Hero Oracle, their LoS UI is bugged that makes it stuck in the lowest LoS, the Oracle LoS and Favor Generation aren't affected, only that the UI giving info of how wide their Circle is.

Let's do a little poll just for fun. There are three options, or rather two, it depends: Sumerian, language used by the city states of ancient Sumer. Sumerian was a language isolate, unrelated to any known language in history. Sumerian died out around 2100BC (only phrases used for religious purposes surrvived till later antiquity) and is lost to history. Some symbols have been desyphered, but we have no idea how the language actually sounded like or what was the grammer, words and stuff. Devs would have to "invent" that language (similar to Egyptian and Atlantean). Akkadian, language used by Akkadian empire and later successor states, including the old Babylonian empire and later early Assyrian empire. Assyrian and Amorite (Babylonian) are accents of Akkadian. Akkadian was a Semitic language related to other Smitic languages (e.g Arabic, Hebrew, Aramaic, etc...). Akkadian was lingua franca of Messopotamia until around 800BC and completely died out as a spoken language around 700BC. However, unlike Sumerian, Akkadian was never lost and is still tought and spoken by classical schoolars (akin to Latin), especially in the Middle East. Aramaic, language that slowly started replacing Akkadian around 950BC, until it would replace it as a spoken language in everyday life in Assyrian empire around 800BC and would later completely replace it even in official use around 700BC, becoming lingua franca of the entire Middle East, official language of neo Assyrian and neo Babylonian empire, and would be later incorporated into official use in Persian, Hellenistic and Roman empires. Aramaic is a Semitic language, like Akkadian, and related to other Semitic languages. While Aramaic lost its dominance to Arabic after Islamic conquest, it's still actively spoken by several million people across the Middle East. The multiplier against cavalry has gone up for Egyptian spearman making him into a anti cavalry unit rather a generalist unit. Now Egyptians are the only Pantheons in the game that lack a generalist infantry. I suppose this is also a grey area for the Egyptians in the long games. What are the thoughts of the community regarding the same

I’ve been stuck on trying to complete 13C. TUNDRA, as well as 17AB, 18AB, and 19AB in Legends Awaken on Ludicrous mode. Is anyone able to assist? My PS5 Gamertag is Univarsity.

With all her recent changes, I've been wondering, What is her general play style? What does she aim to do around the map? My best guess is that she quickly goes for a second TC then walls it off with well, Walls and fortification buildings. And as for military units, Does she go straight to myth units or does she start off with a combo of all greek military units like the rest of the Greek gods? I am a fairly old AoM player, I've played all 3 versions of this game and I would finally like to get better so that I can compete with my friends, What are some behaviours that might help me improve?

I remember this feature used to work properly, but I’m not sure which later patch changed it. Right now, Aztec temples can’t be repaired. When I use the repair option, the villager just walks into the temple to be sacrificed instead of repairing it. I’ve tried both left-click and right-click, but neither works. I hope the devs re-add this feature in a future patch.

I think I read somewhere that some Aztec ships can collect Tonalli from water, but I’ve tried every ship type, even fishing ships, and it doesn’t seem to work. Is there a specific tech I need to research first? Edit: I found the patch note I was talking about. In Age of Mythology: Retold Update 19.14612 , the notes say: “Tonalli can now be collected on water by the Arrow Canoe, Atlatl Siege Canoe, and Tepoztli Canoe.” So, according to the official patch notes, Aztec military ships should be able to collect Tonalli from water. However, I’ve tested it in the current version and it doesn’t seem to work anymore, at least not on my end. If anyone else can confirm this, it might be a bug or a regression from a later patch.

Hey guys, I bought Retold with Season Pass back when it first dropped. I was under the impression it would include all the new content since again, it's a "season pass". But now on steam I see a Premium edition upgrade, Expansion Pass upgrade? Which is it? What are in these things? What are the difference between all these? I'm an AOM single player junkie so I want to get all the content I can get for single player, especially the New Aztec campaign. I'd like to be able to get all current single player content and future single player content.
