I do know that that is a very good treasure for Russia. They kind of want food. Russia Russia are one of those saves where you want specific treasures, right? There are some saves that benefit from any treasure early on, but Russia's a civ and there are other saves that benefit from certain treasures better than others. So food is a really precious one for Russia because even with their 14 standard 14 bill age up there there is generally a bit of idle time before you click the age up even with perfect hering. So food is very very good for Russia. Wood is obviously then the next best because that helps with the block house. Even with distributivism you're not going to get wood very quickly. So you need to put vills on wood. So getting treasures for it is is really good cuz it means that they don't have to uh chop as much wood uh in the downtime from aging up. So again allows more villagers to go on for food which obviously is important for them. Very very food heavy civ is Russia. So goes for TP though. Excuse me. That's not that's not normal. I was thinking about an extremely stupid question: What kind of map would make a single villager take the longest possible time to collect everything? Assumptions: standard resources only 480×480 (Ludicrous) 1 villager Dark Age Mayans (since resources last 15% longer) My current guess is: snake path across the whole map no shortcuts anywhere only one drop-off point, placed at the very edge of the map fill the path with gold So the villager has to mine a tile, walk all the way back, walk all the way in again, and just keep doing that forever: = gold, = blocker, = drop-off (treated as 1 tile) Very rough math: A 480×480 map has 230,400 tiles. If roughly half of them can be used for the snake path and the other half for blockers, that gives a path length of around 115,000 tiles. That means the furthest gold tile is about 115,000 tiles from the drop-off, and the average tile is around 57,500 tiles away. A villager carries 10 gold per trip. With Mayans, an 800 gold tile becomes 920 gold, so each tile takes 92 trips. Back-of-the-envelope, this feels like it should take 40,000+ years ! Is that actually the worst possible setup, or is there some even more cursed map design? You could also use water as the blocker and fill it with shore fish, but there’s a weird interaction there: if the villager mines 10 gold first and then gathers fish, the carried gold gets dropped, so they don’t have to walk all the way back just to unload it.

Posting with minimal hope. I have been playing aoe2 for years and recently ran into some issues. I have a PC where I regularly play and it’s been good. Recently, the Mac version was released and I installed it on my Mac to play with my kids who also have MacBooks. It was amazing, but that’s where all the joy ended. Later I went to play on my PC, and the game synced from Mac via steam cloud, After that, the game became unplayable with constant lagging. I have trying everything possible but nothing really fixed the issue. I contacted support and they responded but they have provided any reasonable solution/fix/update that helps the situation. They did mention that it seems like cross platform corruption. I used to play regularly but since the issue I try and give up after 1-2 games and lately haven’t been playing at all. It really sucks. If someone can help, that would be amazing. The only solution might be that I buy the game and DLCs on a completely new account but that seems so unfair since it’s not my fault this game is messed up for me.

I been seeing a bunch of people saying that nerfing knight or buffing infantry; Yet recently when using Jin and enemy having a bunch of knights run through my spearman and try to harass my villager, the bunch of Meng'an Mouke that rushing out from the outpost and TC simply kick their ass and force them to leave That was the moment I realized, maybe that was what people looking for: the cavalry cost more so make sense they can do more, but what really annoying everyone is the cavalry can just ignore the spearman and go for your villager and building a tons of outpost only slowing down the death of villager instead of really punishing the harassment ---------------------------TLDR----------------------------------- So there I coming out with an idea: what if we adding a new upgrade to all civ after Castle that allowing outpost spawn one to two spearman when enemy is in range? ------------------------ Potential Tower Spam? -------------------------------- I don't think so, I mean like, they are spearman and they run slow, won't really become a tower spam since they afraid of MAA, archer or siege, the only strategy that put on the blacklist is spam knight like brain dead, which I think what everyone complains about
