Hello guys! I created a web app for myself ( aoe-scout.com ). I believe it could be useful for some of you, so I would like to share it with the AoE community. If you are interested, feel free to use it and share your feedback or ideas via the built-in feedback button. ⁠Important: It is not, and will not become, a tool for gaining an unfair edge — that constraint is what the whole thing is designed around. More on that below. TL;DR aoe-scout.com — free, no install, no login, no account. Works on desktop and phone (optional installable web app). Search your name or paste your aoe4world profile once. It then follows your ranked games on its own. For the game you're in it shows: both civs' win rate at your MMR bracket, on the current patch, and on that specific map , the 1v1 matchup win rate with median game length, and an age-up flow diagram — which landmarks a civ actually takes into Feudal / Castle / Imperial, how often, at what time, and how many games simply end before that age arrives. All of it is public aoe4world data, aggregated . The app never touches the game: no overlay, no memory reading, no files, nothing to install. The point is to understand matchmaking and the current meta . What it does You paste your aoe4world profile (or just type your name), and that's the last thing you have to do. The site polls your ranked games and, when you're in one, builds a picture of that match: The match itself — map, mode, average MMR of the lobby, server, and how long it's been running. Both sides of the ladder — every player's rank, ELO, MMR, season W/L, and their most played civs. In team games it also flags players who queue together a lot, because "random 4v4 teammates" and "a duo with 200 games together" are very different lobbies. The meta for this exact matchup — in 1v1 you get the head-to-head civ win rate and the median duration of that matchup. In 2v2 you get the win rate of that exact civ duo. The idea behind this one is a civilization that doesn’t exactly need to age up, I figured it would be insanely busted unless it was in the dark age, and the khitans make a lot of sense for it given how the peak of their power was historically the dark and early feudal ages. I hope there’s enough investment/wait time so that archers don’t end up in the enemy base too fast Civilization Bonuses: -Aging up to the feudal age costs 5% less for every technology researched. -Villagers move and build 10% faster. -Gunpowder units cost 10% less gold. -An extra ranged armor upgrade is available in the dark age. -Access unique technologies in woluduos to unlock units from the next age early. Unique Units: Ordo: 60f 40w. A unique horsemen that trains faster and costs less in exchange for slower move speed (the same as a lancer). (I) Bohai Swordsman: 100f. A man at arms replacement that heals siege and ranged units nearby for 1 health every strike. Deals +3 damage when near Outposts or Keeps. (III) Unique Building: -Woluduo: 70w. Generates resources based on nearby resources(like the old meditation garden). Holds most unique technology for the Khitans. Woluduo Technologies: -Shuzu Horses: 50f 150g. All cavalry trains 50% faster. (II) -Warbands: 15w 35g. Allows for the construction of Stables, Archery Ranges, and Blacksmiths in the dark age. (I) -Hardened Warriors: 45f, 105g. Upgrades spearmen, archers, and ordo to hardened in the dark age. (I) Lamellar Forges: 50w, 125g. Allows for feudal age blacksmith technologies to be researched in the dark age. (I) Foraging Techniques: 25w, 75g. Villagers gather all resources 5% faster and berries 10% faster. (II) -Liao Courts: 150w, 300g. Allows for the construction of an additional Woluduo. (IV) Other Technologies: -Improvised Shields: 15w, 35g. Grants all non-siege units +1 ranged armor. (I) -Fengsui: 300f 700g. All units gain 15% more health near keeps and town centers. (IV) Landmarks: Feudal age: Mahavira Hall: Acts as a second Woluduo.

Hello! My friends and are just started to play and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good mods (maps/game modes) that we can try out? We are on Xbox and there's usually 2-8 of us playing. We just did a castle hill mod (4v4 against AI) and it was really fun!

Build Number: 16.3.11308.0 Platform: Steam Operating System: Windows 10 Issue: The achievement for completing the entire Mongol campaign cannot be unlocked correctly Liegnitz mission cannot gain experience points We have already learned that achievements in campaigns cannot be saved or restored, but I attempted to complete the Mongol campaign once, turned off automatic save, and played for two hours on story difficulty. In other campaigns, I have obtained achievements and in-game portraits using this method, but there is an issue with the Mongol campaign. After my attempts, I found that upon completing the fifth task, liegnitz, no experience points are awarded. Could this be related to the inability to achieve achievements? Have other players tried this? Upon completing other tasks, some experience points are awarded, but for this one, it only has 0 points These words are expressed through translation. Thank you.

So I was playing as Chinese came up against KT and their hospitality knight in feaudal. Great, so a healing unit that is countered by knights, lancers and crossbowmen-- all of which I don't have access to in feaudal age. So archers is supposedly a soft counter to heavy infantry, ok so I pump out archers. Had 6 archers all target a hospitalized knight but was healing faster than I was doing damage. I'm sorry, but this is just a terribly designed part of aoe4 multiplayer. No one in their right mind can say that this is balanced, and I would like to know from anyone who played from launch if it has always been like this or if game at launch was portrayed as/would be a balanced game etc. My opinion is that devs probably thought that if players wanted a balanced game they would just play aoe2 anyway so aoe4 was never designed to be balanced, just to be interesting game with wildly different civs. Thoughts?

Best game i have had so far! Dude definitely had the advantage and he just built his shit up to let me n my buddy siege. We failed. Pretty badly. I mean. At one point I threw 65 battering rams fully upgraded while ol boy hittem with his army. In the end we find out that assault alone only dented his defense. Devastated! But so far the most enjoyable match ive played. 3.5 hr L. I love this game! HELMZ DEEP!

Alright, first off, I want to make it clear that I'm translating this text, so it might sound a bit unnatural. Have the devs ever explained why there are no decent options to create a coat of arms in Age of Empires IV? The symbols are awful, the geometry is ridiculous, the shapes look janky... and don't even get me started on the colors. They just clash so hard with each other. Everything about it is terrible, not just 'slightly bad'. What I don't get is that there's so much room for cool stuff with the coat of arms, and player portraits too (though that's a minor complaint). I'm definitely not asking for microtransactions, but honestly, looking at how the gaming market works nowadays, this is a clear monetization opportunity the dev team is completely missing out on. The image is just to show off my beautiful and perfectly balanced coat of arms.

Build Number: 16.3.11308.0 Platform: Steam Operating System: Windows 11 Issue: As the title says, whenever I unlock an achievement while playing in Steam, the Xbox achievements are not unlocked. I already verified that my Xbox account is linked, and it already is, whenever I start the game. I’ve unlocked several achievements in Steam but they are not getting unlocked in Xbox (Steam does get automatically synced whenever I unlock an achievement in Xbox first, and then start the game in Steam). Trigger Event: Only the Steam achievement notification pops, but not the Xbox one. Repro Steps: This pretty much has happened with all the achievements I unlocked while playing in Steam, so regardless of the type of achievement or the required unlocking steps, no achievements are unlocking in Xbox, only Steam.
