Faris (فَارِس) is an Arabic word means Knight. Moreover, Arabian horses are well known throughout the world, adorned by Arabs, some would argue that they are indeed the best steeds that there are. What I am trying to say is, Faris which is a very common Arabic name, has an origin in the Arab history till this day and I can’t but wish to see the Arab civs have such a unit. Quick, capable and chivalrous. Yes, you can’t call someone a (فَارِس) unless he is indeed chivalrous because doing anything but good deeds can be held against his moral code as a (فَارِس), or what Arab calls chivalry “Furusiyya” (فُرُوسِيَّة), which is a derived from the same word of Knight (فَارِس) in Arabic. Weirdly, some might think I am making this all up because of French Knights having the same criteria; but no, Arabs value honor immensely and Arab did have (فُرْسَان) Knights. P.S. Some might say Abbasid have lancers. I know, but a lancer is a generic unit which doesn’t describe a faris (فَارِس) accurately, being capable, adaptable and quick. Also, Faris ride a horse not a camel, Arabian horses do exist (you can have that as a tech). So seeing Civs from history portrayed correctly is important for this game (at least, close enough); and it is an extra unit to add to the game, a good one if I may say. Or a whole new variant civ with this new unit.

Hello guys, Returning player here, hovering around low plat. I am playing French and kind of struggling with remembering what every civ does (especialy the new DLC ones, like what tf even is a golden horde). Is there some online guide/ressource to sum up how each MU more or less works (ie agression timings, typical unit comp, things to look for ...)? Unfortunately yoloing with knights every game is not enough these days... 😔😔😔😔
