I have a 60% winrate on Japan, 58% on Jin, and 62% on French, all with 50+ games each. I think my fundamentals are fine, and if I kept playing these civs maybe I would find further success at my plat level. but im not gonna lie that would be boring as hell 😂😂 mongol is the coolest, most aura filled civ in the whole game and i have made it my new mission to become the goat at them, even though someone told me they suck ass. i watch clumsygoldfish on youtube (I LOVE YOUR CONTENT CLUMSYGOLDFISH) and he makes it look so easy at a conq 3 level. i feel like i have the first 6 minutes of the game down (i just copy his general openings). but once minute 7 hits bro... it feels like everything falls apart. i dont know what it is with this civ!! counterraids are so difficult to defend, i feel out-scaled at every moment. i want suggestions and tips for how to play mid feudal age onward. a common issue is that specifically knight civs are able to trade fights effectively enough to scale behind and make it to castle or scale their 2tc before I shut it down (i like feudal all in a lot). but i feel like odds are stacked against me. we are in a 2tc / castle meta, feudal aggression is the runner up, mongols are one of the worst civs........... BUT I CANT GIVE UP, NOT LIKE THIS, I NEED TO PLAY MONGOL SOMETHING WITHIN ME CALLS FOR IT, SOMEONE AID ME

Im Plat 1 French and I know it’s on me but I genuinely have no idea how to counter when the opponent just opens barracks and gets a couple spears on my gold, so here are my questions: First issue is that I can’t really scout the barracks in time because I need to find my sheep around the base first. I usually go in a semicircle around my base, drop off like 5-7 sheep and then scout my opponent. Is this already a loss vs spear rush then? Assuming I could scout it in time, what’s the move order? I think I heard to get a knight out somehow with enough gold and then pressure the opponent on his side but even then, it seems like he’s in an amazing position: already has the spears to defend (rush at my gold is over atp), and with my game being thrown off he’s free to just fast castle with no counterplay. I know this must be pretty much figured out because for better players this doesn’t seem an issue, I just need to find out how. I tried searching but couldn’t find a video or it was against tower rush but in my case it’s always just 2-5 spears. So I’d really appreciate if some better players could share insight

Hey, I'm a bit frustrated right now and would like to ask for advice. I tried to do two achievements today. One was winning against a very hard ai and the was winning by building a world wonder. I was able to do both but I didn't get any achievements. I read that it could be disabled by saving and loading so I beat the very hard opponent again without saving and still didn't get it. So now I got annoyed and quit. Earlier today, the achievements worked fine so I have no clue whats going on now. Anyone any ideas? Edit: I found a workaround for achievements in skirmishes. You have to create an online lobby and set it to private. You can then play against the AI and get the achievements. You will not be able to save though.

4 TC, he took 61 villagers inside of my base to build a castle. By the time I saw it and took my army back, it was too late. He then started to build rams and trebs. Repairing any damage I would do to his castle and slowly destroying my base. Panicked, I didn't manage to react properly. I lost all of my army trying to chase his villagers. But woah, I don't know if I should laugh or scream haha Not a single infantry or cavalry. What a feat. I'm gold 3, he was platinum

I played against a guy last night who rushed me with Knights Templar. Castle by 9:30, and then a never ending steam of serjants and rams by 12:00. I'm talking a wave of 30 serjants that just kept coming. Everyone says their early economy sucks but this dude rolled me. Anyone run into this? The math wasn't mathing for me.

I disconnected due to playing via GeForce Now and my internet being unstable so the program crashed However there was 30 seconds left on SS Timer and I was clearly about to win I had such an army lead that as the last minute ticked down I stormed his base with about 75 royal knights (well all this action was clearly too much for GeForce now and my internet connection) So I assumed I would get a loss , for the first few hours it hasn’t yet processed and now I see it’s “invalid”?! Never saw that result before … anyone know ? Was it reviewed manually? (Seems very unlikely)

took advantage of a brawl between Mongols and OotD, wiping first the ootd player, forgot to take the Kublai Khan (lol) - you see his crown in the 2nd picture still living in the end screen, dude was chilling 40 minutes ingame- when the Mongols were already crushed, so overall I had in theory 500 pop cap, 450 was enough to craze me out about queuing lines it was nuts. I like how the last guy was coping with "everyone was down here". No dude. It was like 3 up (with me) and 3 down, then one guy in the middle and one in the very east which I took out at the third attempt, pincer moving him with a naval assault and land forces finally wiped him aswell. No gg's calling when you are the last one in but complaining is so off 🥲 What was you guys highest pop in a ffa? Share your spoils of war!

Since I been looking aoe4 some of you recommended to watch some old vids of beasty to learn from I watched the first 2 of the serie and and I’m learning that production and build order execution is a must so is scouting to know what to expect ( pretty much just like in aoe2) Now maybe I missed the information but if you are going for some pressure when/why adding more eco (I’m assuming you add eco once you get a lead let’s say you killed most of the army for some vils and backed out with remaining army ) Something that’s really holding me back rn is my lack of understanding on the cost of unit or I should say how many vils I need on each for my units As I’m using Abbasid I tend to use either the spear cav with longbow or I try to go camel archer with spearmen So last thing I wanted to ask is I know that serie with whamen is with English but is there anything similar with let’s say Abbasid or just other civs ? If not is there a way to look into civ specific civ matchup and download replays ? As always thanks for the help everyone !
