Hi everyone, I’d like to share some honest thoughts on the landmark designs for the Zhu Xi’s Legacy (ZXL) civ in Age of Empires IV. First, big respect to the devs for redrawing all six landmarks – that’s a lot of work. However, visually they feel a bit “cut-and-paste” – many details look like reused parts from the original Chinese civ’s university, pagoda, and monastery, just rearranged. The colors are also too bright and saturated, which doesn’t match the real ancient buildings in China. In game, it breaks the immersion. So I used AI to create some alternative designs, and I’ve attached real-life reference photos of actual sites: Meditation Garden , Jiangnan Pagoda , Lushan Academy , Shaolin Temple , Sun Wu Temple , and Zhu Xi’s Library . These show the real color tones, proportions, and decorative styles. I’m not here to bash the current work – I just hope this culturally rich civ can get more accurate and pleasing visuals. If the devs ever consider updates, please take a look at these references. I played ALOT of 4vs4 lately before that I always played 1vs1 and I noticed that 4vs4 is actually just 2vs2 since on most maps it’s always 2 sides fighting the only map where u really have a lot of action and micro intense fights early on where 8 army’s clash on each other is Gorge and that’s where my most fun games are tbh . I whish the devs would make the team maps smaller and better designed so the teams are forced to play with each other just like in Gorge

Recently observed network drops, game going to reconnect within 1 min of game, matchmaking failing, All sorts of network issues. Game crashing to desktop as well. Tried all generally available settings but no avail. Turned off windows defender, power saving settings, network adapter reset, relogin etc. Anyone else observing the same, I am from India. I often try to convert different bonuses to their worth in workers, where one worker is worth 40 resources per minute. It is a simplification but helps when you try to compare different bonuses or upgrades. For instance, five Ottoman military schools with Istanbul Observatory and Advanced Academy are worth 20 workers in Imperial. Using the same methodology, how much is an Atabeg worth? Atabegs increase the hitpoints of units produced from the building by 25%. I choose to interpret that as the unit becomes worth 25% more. I also assume that you typically use Atabegs for melee units, since having more hitpoints on melee units is more useful than more hitpoints on ranged units. I also assume a perfect scenario where you produce units non‑stop from the buildings with Atabegs in them. This is of course not realistic but shows the upper limit of how much worth you can get out of Atabegs if you play perfectly. Atabegs also scale as the game goes on, since if you get the Golden Age production speed bonus and Military Academy you produce units faster, i.e. get more Ghulams/Camel Lancers per minute from the Atabeg buildings. The tables below shows Atabegs’ worth converted into number of workers for Ghulam production and for Camel Lancer production.
