So, starting resources. Some teams are unfairly starting with less resources than others. For instance, one of the strongest teams, Byzantines, start with 650 resources, 100 of which is stone, I presume for making cisterns which are now 100 stone, for those who don’t know, cisterns buff production and gather rate around it, so for free, they get more starting resource and I believe 14% faster gather rate, on top of free stone from building buildings, AND 25% of what they need for 4ish free troops… meanwhile KT get 400 starting resource, I can only think that is because KT have no lumber camps? It would be nice to not get punished for an eco bonus, one we don’t use until we age up, that and then losing 3 vils for the privilege. No builds required a lumber camp for any team until after the 3 trees next to the TC are chopped, so it would be nice for that extra wood to make a mill and a deer pack early game, before it’s too late for the likes of French turn up and deny resources. Which brings me to my next point, as a French variation civ, KT should get cheaper eco upgrades no? Maybe also that lovely buff of cheaper and faster spawning knights around castles. That’s literally perfect for KT. Makes so much sense, and KT is a civ that needs a little help in the early game. And from my experience, the longest production times to get units, and only the standard upgrade for making them faster in castle. None of these changes would make them broken in the late but would help in dark age, feudal and early castle age where they really struggle, PLEASE CONSIDER THESE CHANGES DEV TEAM!

After multiple updates, the developers have enriched and revised unit models continuously. Generic units such as spearmen, men-at-arms, foot archers, mounted archers, knights, and even cavalry of certain civilizations like the Jin Dynasty now feature civilization-specific weapons. This is truly a great improvement, and thank you for all your hard work! However, crossbowmen still use identical models across all factions. Every civilization currently wields European windlass crossbows and steel-armed crossbows, which greatly breaks the immersive experience. As the birthplace of crossbows, East Asian civilizations represented by China deserve their authentic, traditional crossbow designs. We sincerely hope you can add exclusive East Asian/Chinese-style crossbow models for crossbowmen of East Asian civilizations. Medieval European crossbows featured high draw weight and short limbs, and windlasses were even required for cocking during their peak era. By comparison, Asian crossbows used lower draw weight with longer limbs. They were cocked by bending over or using legs while seated, just like early European crossbows. With this mechanism, the existing bending cocking animation can be directly applied to crossbowmen of East Asian civilizations wielding traditional Chinese crossbows. HRE: More Unique Units [IDEAS] 2026 Good afternoon, I’m starting this thread to discuss additional Unique Units for HRE. Previously, and many times, it was mentioned that the Black Rider could be a good idea, and it was eventually added to the game, Yay!!! Since they listened to us once, I’m opening this thread precisely to discuss ideas for new possible Unique Units for HRE, whether they have historical validity or not, types or subtypes, etc. I’ll start: Landsknecht Pikeman image 1526×881 935 KB Light Infantry (III) anti-cavalry with a long attack range. Improves its attack speed in squad formation. Changes to Katzbalger at short range. High gold cost. HP: 130/160, Atk: 9-11 (Pike), B: +24/28 vs. Cavalry, RoF: 1.875, Range: 1.25, Armor: 2/0 → 3/0, Speed: 1.25 Atk: 9-11 (Katzbalger) in close range (0 - 0.29), B+24/28 vs. Cavalry Cost: 70f 30g – 17s Pike-wall: Stuns cavalry for 3 seconds and deals heavy damage. Pikeman Formation: Reduces the pikeman’s movement speed by 50% but grants +50% attack speed, plus a +5 armor penetration.
