Chinese sit at a 42% winrate right now so everyone's not playing them. But that number is hiding something important that this is one of the highest-skill-ceiling civs in the game, and the losses are coming from execution, not the civ being weak. It is a hard civ to play, but if you have hands, then it might be the perfect civ for you!

After completing the compaigns and watched the videos, I was astonished by the creativity of China (or chinese creators) in regards to siege weapons. The Mongols were inspired from the chinese creations and used this for their advantage after invading China (which is a good strategy). I didn't also know that the trebuchet was created by the chinese (the first form of the trebuchet the traction trebuchet was invented in ancient China between the 5th and 3rd centuries BCE.) In Aoe4,despite being expensive technologies are important and if used wisely they can impact the course of a game. The compaigns explained a bit how in history technologies were used to have an advantage over an opponent, for instance the French created gunpowder siege weapons (cannons) thanks to the Bureau Brothers: Jean and Gaspard Bureau to beat the English, on the other side China was a primary pioneer of innovative siege warfare technology. I think the compaigns are worth it especially those that includes "short documentaries", I wish there is more content like this about different cultures but I have to keep my hopes low because after all aoe4 is a video game not a documentary.

When toggling between SOLO and TEAM the ranked badges for Gold II are noticeable not aligned as they shimmy / shift position slightly when toggled. Trigger Event: On the ranked page, toggle back and forth between SOLO and TEAM options for ranked matches and the badge displayed for Gold II are noticeably not aligned. Repro Steps: Start Game From the home screen go to Ranked tab. Await for badges to load in. View Solo Switch to Team View Solo Switch to Team note the badge position is slightly not aligned. I’m able to reproduce this issue every time. Id say its off by about 1 - 2 px, but its noticeable when toggling between both.

Been playing HOL more. Drives me nuts that you can't make symmetrical beautiful farms like when you are the English. The fact they are 3x3 makes it so awkward, please make it 2x2 or 4x4!

Lost a game to mongols with HRE. Spent the whole game looking for his villagers, turns out he didn't have or need them. Are villagers not as needed with Mongols? I know they aren't OP as each CIV has its advantages but I just can't comprehend how he can sustain with 14 villagers in the end game. So much to learn... The life of a bronze I player ain't easy (He was Silver I). Match Stats

Platform: Steam computer Operating System: Windows 11 Issue: Pilgrims walk around the coast and uses longest way instead of shortest & through enemies base The pilgrims are walking the longest way around the coast on boulder bay to reach the enemies base and want to cross the sea on this point, if you choose the holy sacrecite in the corner of the map. This is a big disadvantage. You can use the other sacricite, but all player knows, they use the bug and you don’t have to fear gold units from the KT player. Interesting fact: If you play 2vs2 and in each team there is a KT player, one will have the problem with the pilgrims and the other won’t. So only one site of the map is ‘buggy’ Trigger Event: Active pilgrims on this map in a multiplayer ranked game (I don’t know which spawn site of the lake) Repro Steps: Check out the text above

Hello ! I feel that I am quite good at managing my villagers / economy but I suck controling / micro my army. Which civilisation would suit best my playstyle, with more eco focus and less army intensive ? I am low gold btw and I do not have high expectation to climb, just playing casually :) Thank you !

Gamers, If you were in the 1000 elo range and you were tired of being a good and honourable 2TC gamer, how would you punish someone in Aoe4 just for existing in your lobby? Or, have you died to some bs lately and you wanna throw it back in their face? White Tower rushing English? Mongol towers and laughing? Burger topped with MAA and hitting a /11? Play French and just win (and also tell them its really tough to play this civ and you're still learning?)

So some of the new units from Age of Empires 3 uses voicelines from AoE2, then if voicelines is an issue why cant we do it for AoE4? Sure they have a few lines but they dont really need to have 10000 lines , just a few like aoe3 and its already good. For Vikings , Aztecs, Chinese, Japanese and Greek they can get it from AoM too AoE3 have many voicelines for Spanish, conquisdators , Rodelero etc and Aztecs Spanish Villagers have 6 lines its plenty enough, honestly dont care if its the same lines for each age if budget is a concern https://ageofempires.fandom.com/wiki/Spanish_(Age_of_Empires_III) ) If Microsoft is too poor they really should do this period , no one is asking for 10000 lines to be added

Closest we have is upgraded order of dragon but I would love to make larger mercenary pike and shot formations and also have black riders with pistols if I can wish for more. thank you

I haven't played an AOE game since 3, some 20 years ago, but have an RTS itch and am curious about the Crucible mode. My questions are, would you consider it at all accessible for a new player? If so, would it be worth the cost of entry just for that mode?
