New Natives Irish minor civ: why not? i mean there are already some units in the editor like this clansman javeline rider or the bonnagh New Irish (plz make a minor civ with this) 1360×768 420 KB Medici : Please (very influential and the game lacks a proper italian royal house so…) Borgia : Please (as influential as the medici if not more. It is an spanish-italian royal house so i clearly see them working in a lot of maps) Lenape : they are currently only available in unknown and a historical battle, but i think it should be present in more maps because it will add variety to them Haida minor : They are so cool and lovely Maroons : Could be present in a lot of maps (especially in the caribbean, wich are quite boring now with only the caribs, but also in south america) Arawaks : Could appear both in caribbean and south american maps Swiss Minor Civ : it would be lovely, innit? Bonaparte Royal House : I think of them as an “Unknown Only Minor Civ” just as how the lenape are right now, they could use Foot Carabiner (instead of the Royal Musketeer), The Horse Carabiner (Instead of the Royal Dragoon) and the Eclaieur as a third unit. I dont know about the technologies, any idea? I would even buy campaigns for current civs. But rather they release​ civs on a slower rate with a campaign in 1 package.

So after thoroughly enjoying the Baltic Powers Beta, I was doing an exercise on other potential Civs that could be added and two came to mind that are both era appropriate and have plenty of flavor. Oman and Safavid/Afsharid Iran(Persia). Both have the potential for more Historic Battles (Safavid wars with the Ottomans and the Omani expulsion of the Portuguese), along with a variety of potential new units and strategies. As an example, the Persians could have a cavalry focus with the Ghulam a unit similar to the Siphai or Cuirassier. And Oman would have a unique playstyle focusing on Forts and trade routes/trading posts plus a strong navy(on applicable maps given the Omani Empire's navy rivaled that of the Europeans.) Just a thought and would love to hear what others think of this.

I think there’s a small but noticeable visual design issue with the Asian civilizations in Age of Empires III. Right now, Asian economic buildings use the same basic rice-field visual, even though the fields can produce different resources. Mechanically this works perfectly fine, but visually it can be difficult to tell at a glance whether a field is producing Food or Gold, especially when you have a large number of them covering the map. I think it would be great if the different resource types had some visual distinction. For example: China, Japan: Rice fields for Food + mulberry trees / silk production for Gold Gemini_Generated_Image_2yo2px2yo2px2yo2 1148×928 1.05 MB India: Rice fields for Food + cotton fields for Gold Gemini_Generated_Image_4lwokq4lwokq4lwo 1132×928 1020 KB These wouldn’t necessarily need to change the underlying mechanics. The idea is simply to make the economic function more readable while also giving each civilization a more distinctive agricultural landscape. Another, probably easier, solution would be to modify the small structures or decorative elements in the middle of the rice fields . Food-producing and Gold-producing fields could have different central buildings, storage areas, equipment, etc. Even a relatively small visual difference would be enough to let players immediately recognize what a field is producing. I think this would be a nice quality-of-life improvement without requiring any major gameplay changes. It would also make the Asian civilizations feel more visually unique instead of having several civilizations essentially sharing the same “rice field” aesthetic for different resources. The economic system is already interesting — I think the visuals could do a better job of communicating it.

I paid an arm and a leg to buy a steam key of aoe3 original so I could play wars of liberty and when I scanned the files with Microsoft Defender it came up as a severe trojan threat for 1 file. I uploaded that file to total virus and it was flagged for 35/70 scanners, see pic below. Are those false positives? It looks pretty bad file in question: wolai.upl, in the AI3 folder

We have Mexico in game which is apparently the same place as aztecs in game and the same home city, despite being much later I checked and it seems Aztec is 1300 till 1500s, and ended on 1521 Would that be considered Medieval Era? Any suggestions for Aztecs on AoE4 you have a handful of people against it saying its not for medieval period, despite it having Black Riders and now even Vikings

I got AoE3 up and running on a MacBook Air using GameHub ( https://www.gamemac.com/en ). Perfect performance, Steam account linking, etc. Online play and mods are supported with no issues at all. Greatly recommended for those struggling or unable to play due to compatibility issues! Posting because I couldn't find much info on this sub previously (some people recommended BootCamp but many computers - especially old ones - may be unable to run the software).
