What's up, everyone? Welcome to Ivory Coast for a casted game from the EPL season 6 week 1. Uh this game is between Optimus playing as the Japanese and his opponent Lucas playing as the French. You can see Japan already working on a small treasure here that gives them a small trickle of XP and I think both players are probably going for that. So, we have Lucas on the eastern side of the map in the color yellow. He's about to pick up his own treasure and saving that wood, not gathering any additional makes me believe this is going to be a 12:10, which we see a ton from French over the last few years. And there's that trading post he's going for now. On this map, it is very common in tournament play that we've seen over the the last few tournaments that French goes for the natives. But there's some pretty strong natives here. You have the Akan, which have a good musketeer with an area of effect ability. And then the conquistadores at the Jesuit uh ally there, which also has a nice um upgrade to boost gunpowder damage as this treasure was almost stolen by Lucas, actually taken right under his nose as he's building that TP, but uh just 40 coins, so not a huge deal there. And we do have, taking a look at this deck, a lot of native cards for French, so that is definitely something I do expect to see. There's a frigate in the deck as well in case uh Optimus goes for water a little bit, which you definitely can as Japan. And we do see an age one consulate. Uh it's kind of late that we have a shrine and a consulate, so a very interesting build here as uh a little bit of idle TC. Okay, he's gives it up, but three fishing boats, smart uh on a map like this, very, very good card, better than two vills, of course. And he does have two boons in there and the attack boon. We have got a a match up that's uh a little bit different today. Don't often see um you know uh what is it? Lakota versus Howyon. I'm going to bring it to you today. And uh probably the best Howen Aony player in the game. Uh definitely one of them. Buu i.e. Kevin going up against one of the best players in the game. Ranked number I think he's still ranked number one at the moment. Toi aka Keter Boy. So we got ourselves a prolevel match here with the native civilizations. So let's get into it. No idea really. I think this is just like a messy uh game. All the natives seem to be very messy against one one another. So uh yeah. Honestly don't play these civs. don't really know what the matchup feels like for them, but I think both of these saves are pretty good. I think it's probably a relatively even Stevens matchup. Uh on this map, could argue that it's slightly favored for Howen Ashi because it is a water map. Um, and it's actually, this is actually the perfect water map for Howy because Howard and Ashony want these maps where there's lakes with water with with with resources in it, but there's no shipment point on the on the water because they can do their fish boom and basically not get countered because if there's no shipment point, um, it's very it's very difficult to counter water play because you can't send you two caravls, for example. So, in order to counter it, you realistically need to get artillery against the lake or you'd need to build a dock yourself and then get boats and stuff, which is very, very expensive. I installed an Age of Empires 3 mod called Abstract Nations Plus (Restore Monarchy). It is working well except two civilisations are not showing up in the skirmish menu Austria and VOD. The developers had a fix here: If VOC or any other nation does not appear - either completely clear the ‘C:\Users\***\Games\Age of Empires 3 DE\***\Savegame’ folder, or find the ‘sp_Mao#NationName#’ files and delete them specifically. Before starting the game, disable Steam Cloud synchronization. But it didn’t work. Can you assist me in finding a way to get it to work?

This is an idea I have to make comp stomps on single player less about practicing build orders and more about exploring the map with partial AI challenge. With a less cheating AI experience, the human player can then play with +15% Handicap Bonus for themselves, and gradually conquer the map with a less serious style of play. This differs from the mindset of winning very quickly, because it lowers the ceiling of expectations and allows the player not to perform as if they were on the online level of play. By lowering the difficulty levels chosen for the standard level of play, the AI becomes dependent on macro intelligence for it's overall skill level, and less on unfair cheating. The result may vary per AI civilization in their performances, but the goal here is to create 'safe play' where the norm is not to practice for online play, but to explore the map region in a sort of 'safe zone', where lowering the skill level ceiling of the AI mods, by playing on a medium difficulty, allows the human player then to extend their belief system onto trying new strategies, rather than attempting perfect build orders. In this system of thought, the lower level for the AI means that mistakes mean more for the AI, for instance if it loses a fight or two, the game will be more realistic in the long term goal of demonstrating the skill level of a human player on the same map in the same situation. Additionally it will help the community foster a lower expectation of grand performance from AI mods, especially when it has to do with anticipating what to expect from other players online. If the skill level ceiling can be normalized to a more realistic setting, I estimate that the AI civilization strength could be measured by it's economic expansion, rather than simply a bonus and micro-management improvements. When making Hard Difficulty the new norm for single player instead of Hardest or Extreme, the goal has to do with using it as a testing difficulty rather than trying your harde

Hello again, everyone; I hope you’re doing well. We are continuing with the civilization reworks, and today I’m bringing you the update for the Dutch. The Dutch have always possessed traits that set them apart from other civilizations; however, several of these never quite stood out the way they should have—leaving the Dutch to feel less like a unique faction and more like a “copy-paste” of other European factions, just with fewer units. So, today we are going to revamp some of the upgrades available for their units. First up, we have the Barracks; this building really should have featured a unique skirmisher unit right from the game’s launch back in 2005. It was always known that the Dutch skirmisher had slight technical differences in its stats, and the fact that it can be trained in the Commerce Age confirms that something isn’t quite right with the unit. After some in-depth research, I discovered a Dutch unit that fits perfectly as the skirmisher this civilization should have had all along—one dating back to the early 16th century. The unit is called Geuzen , and I will provide more information about it later so that you can judge its historical importance for yourselves and see that this proposal is based on facts rather than speculation. Now, moving on to barracks units, there will be two new upgrades here. The first is for the aforementioned skirmishers, and the other is for pikemen—a crucial unit for the Dutch, yet one that is somewhat poorly represented in the game due to the lack of Guard and Imperial variants. Barracks: Pikeman: The Dutch Pikeman now holds Guard and Imperial status; the upgrade for this unit is called the Pikeman of Nassau . They are boosted against cav, they have the best grenadiers, they have sipahi that they can ruin your center in age 2. Wtf is going on here? If the player is not a noob I have almost no hope against. Strelets are destroyed by grenadiers or a bunch of horses Cav is destroyed by jenitsars.
