Napoleonic DLC Proposal I believe that AoE 3: DE finally deserves a new campaign -something it should have had at launch. Currently, the game features campaigns focused on the New World and Asia, yet the Definitive Edition has opened the door wider to European conflicts. The crowning achievement would be an ambitious, narrative-driven European campaign centering on Napoleon Bonaparte’s military exploits, spanning missions from the Siege of Toulon in 1793 to the famous Battle of Waterloo in 1815. The campaign should feature unique technologies and mission choices, allowing for a personalized experience in terms of both gameplay and storytelling. Biomes would range from the frozen Russian wilderness and the Egyptian desert to the cool Prussian plains, Polish forests and thickets, Czech highlands, Austrian Alps, sunny Italian hills, Spanish canyons perfect for ambushes, and the picturesque landscapes of France and Belgium. It would be great if, upon completing the campaign, missions based on key battles were unlocked in the “Historical Battles” mode, allowing players to command the nations of the anti-Napoleonic coalition (including two naval battles not featured in the campaign: Abukir in 1798 and Trafalgar in 1805—two triumphs for the “Napoleon of the Seas,” Admiral Horatio Nelson). So i am a new player, very low elo, and I tried this strat (16 halbs+7 wittelsbach allies by 6:30) two times and won 2 times, once the dude surrendered at 7 mins because he had no defenses setup at all... sometimes I wonder if these aren't AIs because they have like 500ranked games played (I checked on free food party, shame on me), and yet they seem to build very slowly

Before anyone asks, Ethiopians and the United States are in this list because they had a playable Historical Battle before they turned into a full civ, and this version is different from the normal one available on Skirmish and Multiplayer.

Civs can have 4, they'll remove Gran Colombia in favour of Prussia, so there's still one slot remaining. Though only for Industrial Age. Is having Livonia in Fortress a bit awkward? Sure, but I don't think 5 options total would break the game, especially because it's still only max 4 at the same time. Now, how would I structure it? To make the strat distinctly different from Prussia, it should be a revolution that keeps its settlers like South Africa and Canada, and you DO NOT get automatic Guard upgrades. To make it distinct from Hungary, we'll mostly focus on the Austrian half of Austria-Hungary, and the time frame when Hungary was still largely under Ottoman rule. The core army composition would be: Line Infantry (vaguely German speaking) - Musket Infantry - Napoleonic Mountain Trooper (German alpine Austria) - Skirmisher - Napoleonic (and later) Landwehr (vaguely German speaking) - Skirmisher - 1700s War Wagon (Bohemia/Czech) - Light Cavalry - vaguely 1500ish Cuirassier (all parts of the Empire) - Heavy Cavalry - Ottoman Wars Grenadiers (Vienna?) - Siege Trooper - Ottoman Wars Now the exact mechanics: Veteran Line Infantry is simply a regular 1pop version of the native unit, now trainable in the barracks. No special new cards or bonuses required I think. Pikemen get replaced by Line Infantry, but Dopps stay as they are. Does Line Infantry take over the Pikeman upgrades and therefore takes advantage of Papal Guard, should previously sent Pikemen cards apply to them? Idk if that's too OP tbh. Mountain Troopers fully replace Skirmishers and take over their upgrades, they either get the equivalent of the royal guard bonus as a hidden buff, basically a bit more attack/HP and +1 range instead of faster fire rate, or a cheaper upgrade. Veteran Landwehr automatically replaces Crossbows if not already, but no automatic Guard Upgrade (free if you used Papal Guard for Industrial). the player count posts I see on this sub are talking exclusively about steam users. I'm a microsoft store player that plays the game thanks to xbox gamepass pc. I know a lot of microsoft store players as well so whenever discussing player counts ppl need to keep in mind that total players are probably a lot higher than they appear if u just look at the steam player count.

We had a peak over 7000 in the month of July which is crazy good. We just had better numbers when the game released in 2020 and when it was Free To Play or when a big DLC released. So many players returned just because of the beta and that gives me hope. I reckon most normies do not follow the game that closely and will come back in September when the DLC drops. I hope we will see a new peak around 8000-9000
