Like recently, seeing Beasty in his tier list video claims that Jin is weak not only because the unit, also because its landmark consider weak until imperial. Where I am confused, like even you compare GWC to other imperial defensive landmark it probably not strong since there is red palace or Sea Gate Castle But if you are saying all landmark weak I mean I feels like they all have their way of use like Flower Pagoda for eco boost or Great Pasture for early pressure Wonder how do you think?

I really struggle with English/hol, I can't tower rush and if the map doesn't have a good market location I struggle with eco. I've tried going all in feudal, two tc but I can't seem to get these to work. What do you find works best against these civs? Thanks!!!

I feel kinda proud of myself after achieving my goal of reaching conquerer! Hit conquerer 2 days ago. I started playing at the end of season 11, played roughly 20 matches, left the game to play something else as it didn't really click. Came back mid-end of season 12 and hit diamond 1 (highest, but dropped back to plat 1). This season I started in gold 1 and finally achieved my goal :)

Former French main who recently switched over to Malians and I’m looking for some advice to help my transition. I play exclusively 2v2s with a buddy (capncook) who mains Byz, and we’re trying to climb back to Plat. I’m currently experimenting with my build order, but I’d love some feedback on my decision-making: * **Cow Boom Timing:** Right now, I open with a Barracks and Archery Range in Feudal, then try to get a double mill cow boom rolling. Is this a reliable standard, or should I be greedier/more aggressive? * **The 2nd TC:** Is it actually worth the gold investment? I find that if I survive the first 15–20 minutes, I have a massive eco lead, but my army quality feels really lackluster compared to other civs in the late game. No death ball I can pursue if I manage to boom. Why boom if there is no death ball? I would only go for the 2TC if double cow boom is in progress/already complete. * **Late Game Comp:** What’s the "gold standard" army composition for Malians in 2v2s? I know it’s map-dependent, but what’s generally viable right now? Mass Javelins? * **Landmarks:** What are the meta landmark choices for a standard 2v2 game? Is Farimba worth it to pump out of 24/7? Any units in Farimba you avoid? **The biggest thing I need help with is 2v2 synergy:** My partner (capncook) mains Byz and usually goes for a Fast Castle into an all-in push. I get that Abba had a slow start and possibly needed some bufs in 1vs1 but now after the latest camel rider buf Abbasid is completely broken in teams, especially 4vs4. Once you see the enemy got an Abbasid you know you are on a timer and its gg within 20 minutes if abba is not destroyed before that. Sure, that can be possible but very hard on the over sized team maps, especially if the abba teamies defend the broken boom civ. Also, its not fun with a new win condition called Abbasid. Rant over, time for the abba bros to flame this, or maybe even them agree?

Started playing ayyubids a lot but i find myself really struggling with army comp. i tend to make a mix of ghulam, camel (lancer or desert raiders) + archer but i feel like my army is really tanky (+dervish) but not doing significant damage. How do you approach army comp with this civ ?

This remake resembles Sisters of Battle from Dow 1. This JD version is centered around common people, not French noblemen. So no knights or strong castles, but trash units and religion. This post has 4 parts: Civ bonuses JD hero unit Landmarks Unique upgrades Civ bonuses: Removed all French bonuses except docks giving more pop space and discounted eco upgrades and eco buildings. Removed French unique units and castle influence. New resource called "Faith". You gather Faith by your vills working, JD existing, or by building Churches and Priests. Relics and Sacred Sites generate Faith instead of Gold. Town centers can build Priests right from the dark age. They cost as normal Monks 150g 30s train time. Their main use is for you to have more Faith per minute. All buildings have temporary ability that costs Faith to cast. (Or toggle that depletes Faith per time? Or global ability like Malian's festivals?) It increases production speed and resources dropped to the buildings that have this activated. All villagers can become Faithful Militia for Faith. (Something like gatherer to berserker transform in AoM) Priests can boost unit durability (reduce all incoming damage by 25% for 60s maybe?) with vololo ability (something like Buddhist monks do, but for durability) JD hero unit: JD is a hero that has 5 stages that can be leveled up using Faith resource. Heyo. I was bored and decided to noodle around and make a civ concept. before we start: A lot of language is intentionally Vauge. I, Admittedly, Do not understand AOE4's game design philosphy and balance very well. as such, you, a more experienced player, may look at somethin in this concept and go "wtf was this guy on" and the answer is "not my adhd meds". I simply looked through other civs and took similar numbers/values where it could be applicable. You'll notice a lack of unit costs and numbers in some places but not in others. I have two questions about Age of Empires IV: If I block a player, does that only stop them from messaging me, or does it also prevent them from being matched on my team? Can I still end up with them as a teammate or opponent? Is there any way to bulk-add players to my block list? For example, is there a macro or script that can automatically add a large number of players? Can I export/download player names from AoE4 and import them somehow, or is the block list completely manual?

Considering only 2TC with Kermelin, what is your fastest time so far? Have you managed a time under 5 minutes yet? If so, could you share your build? The best I've managed so far is 5:30.
