I had him dead to rights across all categories: fish and trade boom and superior eco in all resources; raiding and map control the majority of the game; all relics and sacred site control etc… But my military of superior numbers (Jin dynasty spears/cavalry/NoBs) backed by a huge economy was completely wiped multiple times by his mass Greek fire springalds protected by Cataphracts and infantry. I’m flabbergasted. What could I have done differently? Maybe I could have massed Mohe archers to counter springalds but a single volley would wipe them out too. Hi guys I bought the game recently and have 15 hours I am obviously really bad still but I want to learn as I have only the base game what nation should I choose and any tips are welcome

But I feel that we would already have a date if that were the case, right? We're probably looking at a December release :( Cannot wait for the new civs and the coop crucible.

So I'm lazing about and bored so I decided to see what countries had xx amount of Conquerer llls None too surprising was China leading the way but they literally had nearly half of the total 797 Cllls with 364. Some people might say "but they're the 2nd most populous country" So I checked India and they have ONE! But they're at least equal with their great rivals Pakistan who also have one. Turkey surprised me with the 2nd most with 46. Other select countries Germany 33 UK with a 70 million population only 10. France with similar sized population have more than 3 times the UK with 35. Others USA in 3rd place 37 Hong Kong surprised me with only a population of 7 million have 24 , Russia the opposite only 7. The Koreas 19 for the South and the North I'm guessing are not allowed to game 😢 And finally my own country Ireland have none and only have one Conquerer 1.

tired of playing teams solo and getting screwed with matchmaking placement + people quitting. Im a console player, platinum in all formats (valek42). Can compete in diamond. Currently main GH, but have lots of experience with French and Japan too. East coast USA based.

Would love to just select everything and have the prelates run to the tower with the villagers in the same keystroke. I built the tower for you too, Mr. Inspiration Man. No need to be a martyr.

I get Khan and Torguuds in his base at around 6:30 and this dude got to castle at 7. Okay my fault for not scouting out FC but at least I killed a few vils. I see him making MMA so I rally to food and gold and split my troops to relics to get to castle knowing I don't have tools to deal with MMA in feudal. This dude didn't even try to get the relics. I spammed Torguuds and Crossbows for his MMA. Next thing I know a bunch of MMA showed up at my base with a ram, I'm like okay this should be easy I only have his counters. The MMA destroyed my Torguuds and Xbows with ease and killed all my villagers and it was gg from there. I feel like I adapted accordingly but still couldn't figure out what I possibly could have done differently to win this. Please if someone can watch my game and help me out I'd really appreciate it.

I apologize about the question but I'm curious about the time it takes to reach high ranks, I don't have a lot of time to play and I think I'm bit to slow but maybe I'm wrong. Thanks !

Hi Aoe4 community, I started playing this great game a few weeks ago. I'm currently playing with french and I would like to know : Is there a way to bait/avoid the spearman brace when using horsmen/knights. There are 2 theoretical techniques I've read about to avoid the spearmen brace : 1. A Move with knights to bait the brace, retreat and quickly A Move again to charge the spearmen. (Beasty explains this in his "Knight micros" video) 2. Right click your knights in the direction of the spearmen WITHOUT selecting/attacking the spearmen then when in melee range, A Move . Do both of these techniques still work in the current state of the game (August 2026) or have they been patched/bypassed ? Thanks for taking the time to answer me!

Age of Empires IV is an RTS about civilizations, warfare, castles, armies and siege battles. Yet the Menu screen are Dragon, beach balls, sandcastles and families having a picnic. Why not show Mongol cavalry, Samurai armies, siege battles, naval warfare or even dynamic in game screenshots? Seasonal artwork is fine, but this barely feels like Age of Empires anymore. Sometimes I genuinely feel like I’m loading into a beach party simulator instead of an RTS.

Are there any improvements that you can suggest for the Map WR by Civ part of AoE4 Stats? I'd love to hear from you all and see if any of you actually use it.

I have played since season 11 and I have reached Platinum (nothing extraordinary I know) always French or with the golden horde but this season I have not been able to reach platinum. It has cost me a lot to be aggressive and worse with this month's Map Pool. I feel that the English turtle strategy or double TC is greatly rewarded. What do you think?
