When you wait for a game to find a match, most people ALT + Tab, but you dont get notified at all when the game starts because the game is completely on Mute when ALT + TAB AOE4 notify you when a match starts, this needs to be addressed. So even when your ALT+ Tab you can still hear queuing sound and match start sounds and sound effects, it should not be on Mute. No games in 2026 goes mute like this especially for Multiplayer

Come on devs! You are doing a fantastic job on Open Beta and The Baltic Powers DLC, but its time to also release the game on Xbox console and PS5.

As I said in the Siamese Concept will travel to the Far West so the Civilizations I designed today are the Apache, California and Texas. I took this decision because I think that the company by adding USA and Mexico has let the cat out of the box and secondly they can give a lot of new mechanics. So here it is: three civilization concept about Far West. Texas and California share the same base Buildings Self Defense Houses: The classic Houses but when it gets attacked it starts firing bullets to the enemies. Train Station: You have to build it in order for the train to come. Train Tracks: They connect your station with the neutral one. They can’t be destroyed only damaged so the enemy can build his trading post or connect his own tracks The Lighter Version of the Outpost: As the title says it is a lighter version of the Outpost, great to protect the rail tracks Saloon: Not only it train Outlaws, Desperados and a hero Unit with crazy reload speed but it works as the local headquarters with many upgrades Church: The classic Church Ranch: It is a Livestock with a fence that have more space, trains the shepherd that gather the meat from animals very fast in addition to the gathering boost and the Cowboys that help the animals grow faster and work as the first line of defense Mill and Estate: The classic Mill but it is together with the Estate making a huge building that the settlers can harvest coin and meat the same time Oil Derricks: From the town center you train the oil searcher and when he finds you can build it there, assign settlers and the production begins. It is very slow but you can sell it for lots of coin. Also it is used to upgrade the gunpowder units Mobilization center: Once you build it every 6 minutes if you play with Texas it send you 20 soldiers with half armor like Rodeleros, Lancers and Apache warriors and if you play with California it sends you 5 settlers and resources Capitol: The same capitol, British, French etc. have but it has more military

Hello guys, Because of the coming update and DLC I wanted to open a consolidated thread on overhauling the Asian civilizations. In hope that we someday might get another DLC with Asian Civs like Korea, Vietnam, Siam or just Persia To start off, I’ve put together a specific proposal for China targeting a few cards, the current Explorer, the Monastery and two Wonders. I’d love to hear your thoughts on these changes and compile ideas for India and Japan as well. To keep this proposal realistic and implementable for the devs, I’m focusing on smart reworks within the existing civ framework rather than full redesigns. 1) Proposed Card Reworks for China Rename & Adjust “Standard Army HP” → “Mandarin Duck Formation” Effect: Grants +20% HP specifically to Chu Ko Nu and Qiang Pikemen (the units in the Old Han Army ). Rework “Manchu Combat” → “Imperial Guard Combat” Effect: Grants +15% HP and +15% Attack specifically to Arquebusiers , Changdao Swordsmen , and Meteor Hammers . Change: Aligns the card targets directly with the unit art and army compositions, removing the buffs for Pikemen and Keshiks. Expand “Western Reforms” Card New Effect: Grants +7% HP and Attack to all units (down from 8%) and enables European Arsenal upgrades at the Village: Infantry: Flintlock, Paper Cartridges, Infantry Breastplate, Military Drummers Cavalry: Caracole (Ranged Cavalry), Cavalry Cuirass Artillery: Gunner’s Quadrant, Professional Gunners 2) Monastery split The current Asian Monastery tries to fulfill two conflicting roles: a holy site (Monastery) and an outlaw/mercenary tavern (Saloon/Teahouse). This design relies on outdated tropes that blend spiritual centers with criminal hubs. Proposal: Split the current Monastery into two distinct buildings : (a real) Monastery as a true religious/support building for priest equivalent units and utility upgrades. Went down a bit of a rabbit hole trying to win an internet argument about the Forest Prowler and ended up making some tables. Posting them here because I think people may enjoy having a look. For context, this is the ceiling. This is what you can do in a treaty (or very long) game if you stack all the cards/buffs/techs/dances/drummers/flags/etc onto each skirmisher. This is the full opportunity cost. Some of these skirms for that reason are therefore a bit more of a theoretical, others are much lower investment with only a card or two. For this reason, it’s especially unclear which is the best. Also anything which is quite high fire rate doesn’t overkill as much when you get that rolling fire going, so they punch a bit above their bracket. Also, a couple have a tiny bit of ranged resist, but I didn’t really feel like units which get oneshotted by cannons regardless really needed a column for this. Still, I was very surprised by some of the entries here, I feel like I learnt something. This post was already sent first in Ask for Help category: ‘Historical Battles Mercenaries rosters are randomized’ The mercenaries rosters on Traven or Saloon in some Historical Battles in this game are randomized every starts instead of fixed period or geography - geopolitical accuracy rosters. Here, the examples of inaccuracy rosters like Chuvash Cape with Askari or/and Napoleon Gun, Grito de Dolores with Kanuri Guard or/and Manchu, etc. Even in the new 2026 DLC Open Beta which now closed, this issue still not yet fixed. This should make Historical Battles mercenaries rosters become fixed with period or geography - geopolitical accuracy, for example, Chuvash Cape mercenaries should be Bosniaks and Manchu, Fort Duquesne mercenaries should be Fusilier, Royal Horseman, and Highlander, Grito de Dolores should no mercenaries but still train Mexican outlaws, as with All The African Royals scenarios have the proper Mercenaries in The Battle of the Three Kings, while other two scenarios ( Fall of the Hausa and The Era of the Princes ) seemly intended to not have any mercenaries roster. I think if the Baltic Powers dlc does well that Microsoft will probably consider putting the game on Xbox. Us showing Microsoft our support is super important to the games future and growth and if we want new players. There’s quite a few Xbox players that play aoe4 and I can’t imagine them not wanting to try aoe3.

with the newest dlc, old problem dont get addressed. New content looks good at first but it actually worse. Poland sucks. Dalish Heavy cannon is brain dead I mainly play team game. Bottoman, Mexico are just so broken. This game is so fast pacing that if you dont send unit card right away. you will get steamrolled so why on earth some civ are super lame in early game and cant live long enough to play the game so in rank game, most are bottoman is fine to dev? it is just super toxic and lame

So when I posted this concept I got every type of comments. Also some of them actually pointed out some things that I had got wrong and after a lot of thought I also found some things I don’t found right so this is the Siamese concept with some corrections Baarn: The Siamese house Buddhist Temple: The classic temple all Asian Civilizations have Wall: Regular walls but now you can build smaller and costing less resources towers on them to put ranged units inside alongside the castle as an alternative. Hybrid Rice Paddy-Livestock: You start with a rice paddy that holds 5 settlers. You can upgrade it and now it can hold 10 settlers and has next to livestock. You upgrade it one last time and the farm holds 15 settlers and livestock is produced faster War Camp: Here are being trained the most of the Siamese Soldiers Elephant Kraal: Here are being trained the Elephant units Consulate: Here you can buy both Siamese and foreign soldiers with export. King’s Palace: Here are the best economic upgrades and can train the elite soldiers like the royal tiger musketeers and the Royal Siamese Cavalry, soldiers who have long swords Castle: The classic castle all Asian civilizations have in order to train the gunpowder units They also have Dock, Market and Artillery Foundry The War Camp can train these units: Archers: Ranged units that throw arrows with poison that kills enemies overtime. On steam, the verison switched back to regular after the beta. Downloaded Age of Pirates mod 2 days ago. Played a few matches with it. Now when I load up aoe3 its stuck on the small title card before the intro, but turns 'Not Responding' when i click on it. Surface Pro 6: Intel core i5-8350U cpu @ 1.70GHz 8gb ram Intel UHD Graphics 620 Storage: 50gb unused Played on low settings just fine for a few years now. This has never happened before, even when i played with Age of the World mod which is a bigger size than age of pirates. Currently reinstalling. But anyone know what i can try, if reinstalling doesn't fix it.

I just got back into this game after seeing the announcement, and convinced my buddy to join me. We're having a lot of fun, and are trying all the different city cards out to see what is most effective, and I'm curious just how deep this game can go (For reference, he's been playing Russians, and I've been enjoying Haude, French, and ranged cavalry). Given the immense number of civ exclusive cards, units, team cards, and more, there's got to be some builds that are extremely unique or special. What are some of the most unorthodox plays you've seen/done? I don't care if they're good, I just want unique.

Perhaps one or two cards from among all those your opponents have played—though possibly at a very high cost. It would allow for very fun and unusual synergies.
