Nobody uses them, so I’m noting their presence for readers. The problem is that a card that upgrades a single unit is inferior to upgrading an entire tag, like “Heavy Infantry.” Spain has unique upgrades for its explorer, as well as a card for upgrading its team’s explorers, meaning the civilization’s uniqueness is represented by an irrelevant function. The first thing I’d like to improve here is explorers for all civilizations, increasing their base damage by 100% (and before the nerds start whining about killing treasure guards too quickly, explorers have a % multiplier that can be adjusted by pressing two keys on the keyboard). They already have plenty of HP upgrades. This will increase the cost-effectiveness of all explorer cards in the game. Specifically, for Spain, the explorer upgrade card will increase the dog limit by 5. People have argued a lot about Spain’s dogs being too overpowered or too useless. The inability to use dogs to raid villagers and attack buildings makes dogs a support unit rather than a full-fledged game unit, so I consider all claims about them being overpowered to be propaganda. It’s a unique mechanic that creates the identity of a civilization. Only two civilizations have dogs in this game, and I think it’s worth maximizing this ability. For balance, I added the dog usage buff specifically to the card so it would be a specific archaic combat build, not just any Spanish build. Fans of “Britishly Spain” with musketeers and falconets won’t notice the difference at all. I haven't played the Ottomans for a while so I thought I'd give them a try before they get nerfed. Holy shit they're so easy to play. Not having to make villagers frees up a lot of mental space and resources. I'm pumping out armies, barely have to look at my economy. No wonder why people play this civ. They really need to restrict the economy of the Ottomans back like they used to. Otherwise they've got a strong economy and a strong military. I don't know why they reduced the cost of the church improvements for upgrading village production and villager limits. They were the only thing keeping the Ottomans in check. Those improvements are really cheap now, it's so easy to boom as the Ottomans. Does anyone know what the nerfs are that have been made to the Ottomans? I haven't looked at it.

Don’t get me wrong I’m all for crusader stuff, but could we get actual plate armour for the Hospitallers??? It would look so much cooler. The first image is what they currently look like and the second is them modded, see how much cooler they are? Thanks for coming to my Tedtalk

Iron Troops as China are really fun but they feel like they fall off super hard later. Maybe add a buff similar to European civs for mercenary attack/hp when going to imperial? That could also be a shipment similar to German mercenary camps just for China to buff maybe Manchu plus iron troop? Or at the very least buff the monastery wagon shipment to increase the build limit of monasteries. I think that having only one building train so slowly really stops them from being too good late. Build limit feels like it would be more useful than just pure train speed but that is the other option to actually build enough to make them viable. Most other Civs have some level of tavern build limit increases so why not Asian civs also?

I’d like to suggest adding new models for the Native Embassy on the Asian, South American, and African maps, rather than having them share the North American (?) model. As far as I know, there are currently two different models for the Native Embassy — one used in Europe and one used in others. image 283×279 163 KB image 630×660 495 KB The current North American-style Native Embassy looks quite out of place when it is used on the African or Asian maps. It would be great to have region-appropriate models for these maps, and ideally for South America as well. image 1024×443 340 KB image 1024×443 345 KB image 1024×443 301 KB I think this would be a relatively small change, but it could make the different maps feel much more immersive and visually consistent.

As a fan of the Age of Empires series, I have always felt that, aside from the achievements related to the campaigns in Age of Empires II , the achievements in Age of Empires III and Age of Empires IV can only be described as tedious and boring. Even though Age of Empires III miraculously came back to life and has received new DLC, when I excitedly clicked on the currently hidden achievements, the meaningless achievements based on “collecting quantities” and “killing time” still dampened some of my enthusiasm. That said, achievements may be completely unimportant to some players, who may not even bother trying to complete them. However, when playing the campaigns in Age of Empires II or games such as Civilization VI , I have found that well-designed achievements can inspire players to challenge themselves, encourage them to learn more about the game’s mechanics and unique features, immerse them more deeply in the atmosphere of the game, and provide a bit of “humor” for variety. This is especially true for AOE 3, which is such a large and complex game. If achievements could serve as a guide for players to explore the unique characteristics, tactics, cards, and history of each civilization, I believe they could provide an entirely new experience for both new and veteran players. With that in mind, I would like to propose several AOE 3 achievements inspired by experiences from other games. They can broadly be divided into three categories: “Humorous,” “Historical,” and “Gameplay.” Humorous Achievement / Requirement Kung Fu Panda As China, use the Shaolin Master ability to transform a Panda into a Disciple . Rumor Has It As Poland, use fully upgraded Winged Hussars enhanced by Home City Cards to defeat a Da Vinci Tank . The General’s Surprise Attack As Japan, use Shogun Tokugawa to deliver 4 Morutaru cards within range of the opponent’s starting Town Center . A Waste of Talent As the Ottomans, use Spahis to kill 20 Settlers . You Are Not Worthy of Pulling My Sleigh Trai

I know what you are going to say, “but we already have Portugal in the game” Wrong! You have a Brazil cosplay! Lets start with the basics: Unique unit: Organ Gun? Lmaooooooooo On all my years reading about Portuguese History, i would found 1 reference of Organ Guns being used. Once at Morocco. At the bare minimum a breach loading cannon or Berço would be the obvious choice. Its mentioned everywhere. Portugal created the Caravel, the Carrack, Square-rigged caravel and probably galleons. Its credited to the spanish in 1550, but Portugal had galleons already in service by 1540. At least they got Caçadores right, altough they should be only available in Age IV, as the first Caçadores were created in 1797, and later reorganized in the ones we know by the british in the Peninsular War. Also Dragoons? Portugal had such a lack of Cavalry they needed british and french dragoons in the 17th century during the restoration war. This “Portugal” civ is a bunch of nonsense cobbled together, and frankly an insult to anyone with the basic knowledge of Portuguese History. Thank you for reading my rant.
