I understand you may need one for two tc or naked fast castle, but it seems much more fluid when the pros play. It seems like most play feudal and age up after a few fights when it makes sense. When I’ve tried to use a fixed build it seems too rigid. I don’t see how you even could use a build order because you’ll be making different units depending on what your opponent is doing. I mostly play Macedonians, diamond I to III, but trying to get better.

Hey devs, Since the latest AOE patch, my PC has started randomly shutting down without any clear crash message. Sometimes it runs for 20 to 30 minutes, and sometimes it shuts down around 10 minutes after a match starts. It happens in both ranked matches and single player, so it does not seem limited to multiplayer only. Things I have already tried: Validated game files Changed GPU Reinstalled GPU drivers Downgraded GPU drivers No overclocking on GPU, CPU, or RAM PSU seems fine Other games work perfectly fine, including CS and Dota Temps seem normal No system shutdown, only the game closes My hardware: Radeon RX 6600 and RX 6600 XT tested Ryzen 5 5600X 24GB RAM Latest Windows updates Latest game version after the patch This only started happening after the latest patch, so it feels patch related rather than hardware related. Can someone from the dev team please look into this? Also, if there are specific logs, crash dumps, or Event Viewer details you need, let me know where to find them and I can share them.

Anyone know where Drongo has been? He seemed really stoked in his last video but that was over a month ago. Hope he’s okay, I miss his content.

Lancaster Castle’s castle age ability Shire Levy is poorly costed, especially compared to its other abilities: Muster the Nobles (Feudal) and Exact Militia Program (Imperial). Muster the Nobles - 500 resources for 5 Demilancers (which I’d say are roughly worth half a lancer so 120 resources each) - You spend 500 for 600 worth of units. Shire Levy - 1200 resources for 12 Yeoman (95 resources each) - You spend 1200 for 1140 worth of units. Exact Militia Program - 2500 resources for 10x Demilancer (120 each) 10x Earl’s Guard (110 each) 10x Yeoman (95 each) - You spend 2500 for 3440 worth of units. Quite simply, Shire Levy is a poorly costed for what it delivers. Assuming you do not want to change its price, I’d suggest having it make 15 Yeoman instead of 12 so it can be on par with the other Lancaster Castle abilities. This would make it 1425 worth of units for 1200.

However, the game keeps going. Anyone know if this person has to sit there and wait until you quit to get their "win" or is this an entirely automated process for them?

New player, not looking to be competitive, just not suck. Also, only play a few hours a week, so trying to be efficient. I‘ve watched a good bit of Valdy and Beasty vids. Including Beasty telling me I need to master Dark and Feudal. That being said, mostly casual and having fun with friends so I’m not sitting there analyzing my games. I‘ve followed build orders and experimented a bit with different Feudal strategies, pushing a bit / raiding a bit during Feudal. We frequently play team games, not finishing a lot of games in Feudal. End of Feudal and transition into Castle, I get pretty lost/overwhelmed with what to go for. I start floating resources like crazy. I think always underestimate how many production buildings I could be buildings / how many production units I could support. Score-wise, I’m usually even with everyone till the castle transition and then get left behind. My Econ score is generally solid. Any tips or guides focused on how to balance more advanced ages and armies would be appreciated. Again, I feel like I’m underestimating how much production I could build. I haven’t seem many guides saying to shoot for X Barracks, Y Stables, Z Archery.

Im gonna say it, and people are gonna downvote this like crazy, but KT is fine. Gold/plat players just don't know how to punish greed or make the correct counter units. You only complain because its not hard to play and you sit in your base. Sorry not sorry.

Just want to rant and get it off my chest. To give context, I've gotten as high as Platinum with Mongol and have successfully played as Japan. I've been trying to play China for the past month and boy oh boy did my ranking drop. I dropped all the way down to Bronze 1 afterwhich, I gave up. I want to be good as the Chinese and try really hard to figure it out and just can't - to be competitive as China, there's just too much investment into all the wonders. Once the other player got their Cavs up and going, it's over. I have to say though, the Hand Cannoneers are awesome. I managed to survive into a really late game, and the combo of Hand Cannoneers, Nest of Bees, and a few tank units slaughtered the other player's Cav army. It was really satisfying to watch. The challenge I am experiencing is simultaneously trying to gather resources asap to build the necessary wonders, build defense, and build an army sufficient enough to defend my base so I can survive into the late game - which is a really hard balance to achieve especially against civs with Knights in Feudal like France. But anyways, kudos to the players that are able to successfully main China. I've started playing as Zhu Xi and is bulldozing my way through Bronze and should be in Silver soon.

HRE is struggling in the late game. It has no super units like others civs. It's army is basically a vanilla trash army. Why did the devs decide to artifically lock the Black Rider? It doesn't make sense. KT can build unlimited Szlachtas, Dehli unlimited 1000 hp elefants, Byz unlimited 500 hp cataphracts. Please devs, remove this limitation for Black Riders.

Booted up crucible mode today on ps5. All my perks and unlocked difficulties have been lost. I'm set back to 2900 points, even though I had vastly more than that. Anyone knows how to fix this and restore my progress?

wondering if there is any math out there right now for malian 2 tc? they already have cow boom and pit mines for investments, or even saharan trade network. from a team game perspective, where im trying to boom, is it even worth to go 2tc? or just naked cow boom? or something els? interested on hearing opinion!
