When reviewing my games and not using free camera I occasionally notice that the view zooms out when switching from my view to my opponents view. Is this a replay bug or evidence that they are cheating?

Someone wants to have a practice buddy, I'm a gold 1 I think😅. I'm not playing ranked too much recently but I want to go back. I think with a buddy it would be more interesting to try new builds and to have some constructive criticism because it's difficult to see your mistakes when you're playing solo. I couldn't find someone in the game and I wanted to try my luck here.

So annoyed getting accused so sharing a few tips that one can could tell whether there is potentially water without map hacking: -1. This tip is only applicable on the edges of maps, but water bodies are usually located in lower altitude and edges of map (even unexplored) will still show the heights/lows and one can reasonably discern water bodies (though it is possible that it's just plain ground with forest). -2. Clicking on unexplored water bodies will pop the circle on the nearest coast on the screen, rather than circles popping up where player's curser is located (though again, forest have the same effect of misleading one to believe there is water). Riddick, if you see this, hope it helps.

Regular Mongols build 1 ovoo at a time. And their ovoo extracts the stone underneath. Golden Horde builds 1 ovoo per age (just like Malian). And their ovoo does not deplete. This gets really weird in team games. The ideal setup is actually - let teammates extract the stone, leaving just a sliver, and then put a Golden Horde ovoo on it. But that’s really hard to coordinate in-game. Additionally it’s not clear if Golden Horde benefits from large stone outcroppings. A simple fix is to have Golden Horde ovoos work like Malian pit mines - allow them to still be mineable.

My friend and I are both around 1100 MMR (only ~40 apart), yet we're getting matched with players who are 800–1000 MMR apart. Why not just increase queue times a bit and prioritize games with similar MMR spreads? I also have the feeling that we encounter these matches more frequently in the last few weeks. I'd much rather wait a bit longer for a competitive game than instantly get a lobby with massive skill differences.

Guy has a 3k elo always plays with these two accounts that have 347 and 835 elo 🤣 (none of them played like silver or gold players)

Against most civs I have a clear idea of how I should play, when they are weak, and when they have a power spike. But against Jin I have no idea. When are they weak? When are they strong? What is a good game plan against Jin Dynasty?

King's Palace, otherwise known as "-what?", is the landmark you DIDN'T go castle with on English because you're too busy picking the obviously-better White Tower. It's received a bunch of buffs since its inception: - Season 4: Health increased from 2500 to 5000. - Season 13: The King’s Palace now produces Villagers +10% faster. But it's still got a sparse 15% pick rate according to AOE4 analytics , putting it among the lowest picked landmarks in the game. And even with the +10% villager speed, it just feels so bad compared to the White Tower. Some open ideas on what can change: Get rid of the +10% faster training buff, it just doesn't "feel" meaningful. Make King's Palace cheaper (ie. 15% cheaper), similar to Swabia. This could potentially enable a more viable "English Fast Castle". Allow King's Palace to research Network of Citadels. One of the disadvantages of not going White Tower is that you can't research Network of Citadels (which improves the Network of Castles buff from 20% -> 30%) unless you have a Keep. Yet English Towers and TCs would also benefit from this tech. Giving it to the King's Palace makes it a little more in line with White Tower. Disclaimer - I'm not a pro, I have little input on "balance" itself. Just wanted to discuss ideas that would make this landmark feel better. If you think this idea is terrible let me know :)

Used to play a lot of KT, Japan, Malian & Sengoku - everytime I take a break, I usually afterwards get my hands on a new civ. But this time it feels like I hit the shitshow spot with Lancaster. Is this civ just underpowered in general or am I missing something crucial? I tend to play 2tc + fc with Lancaster Castle & White Tower securing Deer & Gold and sprinkle in Manors as it fits the situation. But damn, even fully upgraded eco with 2tc pump doesn’t feel anywhere near the above mentioned civs. Armywise I tend to go for Knights+Yeoman/Speers. Am I missing some secret sauce or is this civ just not breathing the same air as the OGs?

I just won a game because I heard the "landmark placing" sound in my base, seemingly through fog of war, and went to check it out. I found 15 villagers on their way to build a White Tower next to my base. The sound was played when opponent placed his foundation, no villagers had even arrived yet. I was able to interrupt him building it and he lost all the vills. Is this intended, or a bug? For context, this was in a 2v2 ranked game, he was English and I was KT.
