You’re close to each other so FC doesn’t really work but you also have choke points so aggression doesn’t really work. There are fish but they’re super vulnerable. I just play awkwardly then die.

The Templars have the largest number of unique units per name, an each age you advance you have three units to choose from- vaguely like the minor god system in Age of Mythology. But I cannot for the life of me ever figure out which is the most optimal route to use. I always choose Hospateller Knights- it seems logical because they can heal everyone as we go. But isn't the throwing axeman good? The Chevalier Confrere- what's the point, the Brother Templar is good? Can anyone break it down?

So this might not be the most concise post but looking for advice. Sorry if I ramble and am all over the place. The context of the situation is that I play the game with my wife and brother and we typically do 3v3 versus AI as neither of them are interested in the PVP aspect. None of us have been playing for very long and we actually all just started playing again after a pretty long time away from the game. We’ve only played a handful of games since coming back and have mostly played against three intermediate AI enemies. The thing I am looking for advice on is what is the best way to keep the challenge while not overwhelming my teammates. Against intermediate AI, my wife typically has no issues holding her own and is often helpful in attacking the enemies. My brother on the other hand tends to play a bit too much like it is a city building game and tends to get overwhelmed by any type of pressure earlier on. My brother and wife much prefer a longer slower paced game where each civilization gets to the imperial age and large scale battles are fought. Because I have been playing for a short amount of time and typically only play with one or both of them I have never ventured into PVP myself. Over the last couple days I have tried a couple 1v1s and am able to consistently beat the AI on Ridiculous but have not had luck higher than that. The problem is that in order to beat the AI on anything above hard I have to end the game within what seems like 20 to 25 minutes if it goes longer than that, I can’t keep up. So all that said I’m trying to figure out a way to up the 3v3 challenge without them getting frustrated as intermediate isn’t terribly engaging to fight. If I bump to 3 hards it doesn’t go well as not only does my brother get swarmed but the longer things go the worse I manage everything. I’ve tried reinforcing his base but then get overwhelmed at my own. Any opinions on which of these would be most helpful in finding a way to make this work? 1) keep playing vs

As the title says. He was in the corner behind me as china. I was english and went light feudal aggro while going 2TC to keep him weak while not neglecting my eco. When I saw he did move most of his base but not his king I went for it. Of course he tried to king feed but failed. Be a good gamer and take your L's.

Hello everyone! I designed a better color picker for 1v1s. You can try it out in HTML at the link! Basically, it forces the two opponents to have colors on opposite sides of the color wheel. The page is built in three parts: First, you can pick what settings each player has- these are to be set before searching for a game. Second, there are boxes for the in-lobby picker. How it works depends on your settings, but standard settings will just grey out the half of the color wheel you don't have access to (unless you pick first! Then you have full color options). Third, the page displays what colors each player actually sees in-game. It's almost certainly not original, but it would be a lot better than what we have now. It's also built with AI because I don't have a month to learn HTML for this. Let me know what you think!

Hi lovely people, Is it only me or mangonels and bombards are very effective in ranked? I’m gold 2 currently with 2 months in game only. I main OOTD and tbh i just send my horsemen to harrass their siege and crossbows and its a gg, but when i add myself mangonels and bombards that adds so much value, especially because all games my opponent builds 3-4 keeps and i find it way better than using trebuchets..

Really tho? What kind of mechanic is that supposed to be? A dead sheep or a cow and then I cant build a house on top of it? Either delete the carcass or move it because thats ridiculous.. I have more ideas DEV TEAM if you wanna contact me

It's not surprising that the Koreans are the top of the average rank list at #16041. Koreans have always been the top country when it comes to RTS games. Despite being Korean, I know zero Koreans who play this game. For RTS, most Koreans still stick with Starcraft/Starcraft 2. I hear that most young Koreans do not play RTS, in favour of FPS. Oman is an obvious outlier with only 11 players. Still, very impressed. HK at #19892 and China at #20194. I know this game is huge in China for unknown reasons. Starcraft was quite popular in China but they never had many good players. Perhaps if Relic Entertainment can promote the game in Korea, we'd have a lot more talent coming into AOE4 and because Koreans are so familiar with RTS games, there could be a huge boost in the number of active players. Just food for thought.
