The last few Quick Match games I’ve played have felt really strange. I double-checked that I was queueing PvP, but several opponents behaved almost exactly like AI: - chopping resources right next to my army - making lots of seemingly random siege - barely upgrading their units - little/no reaction to raids or obvious threats - no chat at all It happened enough games in a row that I started wondering if there are actually bots in the PvP matchmaking pool. Has anyone else noticed this recently? Are there developer-run bots in Quick Match, bot accounts farming games, or am I just running into some very unusual players? Not trying to complain about skill level, the behavior just seemed distinctly bot-like and I’m curious if this is a known thing.

Hi, I'm actually training Golden Horde and Ayyubids for both Solo and Teamgame for next season. (I used to play French but I got really bored) I really like (for obvious reason) the KT aesthetic but I'm not really sure if it is worth to put the effort. Qhat are your thought on this civ? Is it good to play, underwhelming? Also we can expect to be nerfed or buffed the next patch?

As title, me and my friend always play some aoe4 before we sleep. But the game keep freezing and crashing mid game, anyone know the solution or the cause of the problem?

*or rather, how is Abbasid 1 TC played? Hi, while Abbasid has a great economy on paper, I struggle to play against civilizations like French. I forgo a second TC to produce more units but still lack in total ressources collected and military numbers. Both early game engagement and later feudal fights I lose against players with lower rating. Turtle options and raiding don't lead to much success. Abbasid mains, how do excel against French players? I employ 1:1:1, what timings are you usually looking for to defend?

I've found some great success lately playing a very simple strategy, open 2tc into castle as fast as possible or when I'm safe to age, then just mass heavy spears (regardless of enemy comp) and use them as a cheaper front line death ball than knights of MAA, and I follow that up with either a ball of mangonels or springalds, whichever counters the enemy comp the best. The heavy spear frontline negates any cavalry, and the siege takes care of any infantry or range while the heavy spear soak damage. Moving into Imperial I simply mix in some Teutonic knights - the age up passive granting +2 melee armor to the spears makes them even stronger, coupled with the reduction of enemy armor seems a good mix.

There is a Trial by Fire objective where I have to choose between going to the Academy or destroying a siege camp. Where can I find a siege camp or what does it even look like? What should I look for? What does it Go to the Academy? How? Thx!

I have tried the majority of the civs, but I find myself gravitating towards civs that are either good at Fast Castle or going 2 TC. I tend to dislike 1 TC fighting in feudal since it feels less strategic and more about micro. Which is why I tend to avoid civs like French, even though I love many of the features of the civ, like good knights, Guild Hall, arbalest, unit discount, Red Palace, etc. So do you play every type of civ, or do you focus more on civs that support a certain playstyle?

It was a desperate attempt, I wanted to convert the rams, and didn't even know that those cannot be converted and he just run into it with the MAAs.

I have tried this but it doesn’t feel that good , maybe the French just can’t manage well with this strat ? Even if I get 4 relics I feel like I give the other player too much space I guess I don’t know which civs this is a good option against and which a bad one ? I’m a lowly gold haha . Got up to plat 1 last season but haven’t played as much this season so Gold still
