Here’s my concept for the Aztecs in Age of Empires IV . aztecas jpg 1024×1536 1.3 MB Gemini_Generated_Image_8h2s1w8h2s1w8h2s 1379×674 656 KB The Aztec Calendar (Core Civilization Mechanic) The Sun Stone guides the empire through sacred cycles. After building 5 Huey Teocalli , the Aztec Calendar activates and automatically rotates every 90 seconds between four divine blessings: Sun of Abundance – boosts food economy and Chinampa production. Sun of War – increases military production and Favor generation from combat. Sun of Warriors – improves infantry mobility, armor and ranged support units. Sun of the Gods – increases Favor generation, religious power and temple healing. The Aztec player must constantly adapt their strategy to the current cycle, making timing and battlefield decisions a key part of gameplay. Favor of the Gods Huey Teocalli replaces both Castles and Monasteries. Research Flower Wars to gain Favor by defeating enemy units. Spend Favor to recruit military units directly from temples. Building 3 nearby temples creates healing zones for your army. Temples can host Tzompantli Towers , which gain bonuses and automatically attack when placed nearby. Economy Milpas replace Farms. Chinampas upgrade Milpas and gain bonuses when connected to water canals. Canals extend from the Town Center, increasing food production and generating passive gold. Pochtecas serve as both scouts and traders. Military The Aztecs have no cavalry , relying instead on specialized infantry and army composition. Eagle Warrior – fast anti-cavalry infantry. Jaguar Warrior – elite shock infantry. Coyote Warrior – replaces light cavalry. Cuachicqueh – anti-gunpowder and anti-siege warrior. Atlatl Thrower – anti-ranged specialist. I think the Mongols should have a more reliable way to produce the Huihui Pao in standard multiplayer games, instead of only receiving it randomly from the Khaganate Palace. This is also a gameplay issue. The Khaganate Palace already has heavy RNG, and getting the wrong unit at the wrong time can make the landmark unreliable. A Mongol player who specifically needs long-range anti-building siege should have a way to invest into Huihui Pao production rather than waiting for a random spawn. To keep it balanced, I do not think Huihui Pao should simply become a expensive standard siege unit. A safer implementation could be one of these: If Mongols choose Khaganate Palace, Huihui Pao becomes trainable from the Siege Workshop in Imperial Age. Alternatively, Mongols can research an expensive Imperial Age technology, such as “Huihui Engineers” or “Persian Engineers,” which unlocks Huihui Pao production. The unit should have a high cost, long training time, and possibly a high stone or gold requirement, so it remains a siege investment and can not be spammed This would reduce frustrating RNG and create a clearer strategic identity for Mongol late-game siege without necessarily making the civilization overpowered.

Please upvote so the devs can see it. The reason these people surrender immediately is to lower their ELO so they can smurf, if their ELO doesn't change unless they play at least 5 or 6 minutes, it could stop this behavior. It's a VERY simple fix, we just need to share the idea with the devs.
