Here are some of my ideas for new godpowers. Feel free to use them in any form you like. Feedback is also welcome. Godpowers inspired by the celts: Celtic Pantheon Concept Archaic age: Wild times: Spawns six wild animals near the casted upon woods. They behave just like the animals of seth. Family extension: Expands the population capacity of an house by three. (Cast on houses only and non stacable) Whispers of the wild: All herdables are revealed for 5 secounds. Classical age: Transformation: Transforms an human unit to a mythical unit of the respective age the player is in. Skilled workers: Up to four workers can be upgraded to craftsman. Craftsman build and gather faster then normal workers. (Classical age: 5%/ Heroic age: 7%/ Mythical age:10%) (Lugh would be the perfect god for this, if he wasn’t a major god) New beginning: Spawns a little mount of gold (200), five trees and three deer in a little circle. Heroic age: Famine: All food production of the enemy is put on hold for 15 secounds. Murder: A murder of crows decends and deals heavy damage to enemy units. Not effective against buildings though. Woods of madness: Spawns a medium siced forest of black trees. The trees are few and far in between. If the enemy travels or fights in these woods one unit after another is slowly driven mad and attacks everything nearby. Friendly units are safe, but if a worker stumbles in them and stays to long he transforms into a wolf, attacking everyone. It also can’t be casted over an building and no building can be constructed in them. Mythical age: Acid rain: Deals great damage to enemy units and buildings. Ominous fog: Thick mist that disrupts the enemys ability to see what’s happening. The enemy can neather see or control his units until the fog has subsided. Lasts for 25 secounds. Awakening: Spawns a great animal statue. If inchanted by a druid for three minutes the statue awakens and can fight for you. The statue is one third as strong as a titan. I already shared these i

Genuinely curious how people win Arena of the Gods on higher difficulties if they get 1v4 or 1v2v2 Sudden Death in the later stages? It's been ruining my attempts at beating it on Legendary and unlike with the last mission which is visible at start there is no way of knowing beforehand. I am able to win 1v4 Standard comfortably by rushing with Chiyou and Kastor elite guard, or just spamming heroes/myth units if I feel like taking Gaia Lashing Roots instead or there is Hell's Mythic Frenzy up. But this is is quite difficult against the Citadel Center and it feels like wasting a Blessing (though permanent extra pop might still be worth down the line, unsure). Even so at best I can take out 1 out of 4 and then I am left in a late game of 1v2 (or if unlucky even 1v3) where they just keep beelining for my own Citadel. Due to extra pop and resources at start the AI (with +50% to boot) snowballs rapidly. I can hold out until they get two titans out - in OG AoM I'd cheese and kite the titans into each other but here the AI looks cheese-proof and they just ignore any distractions (including other buildings, walls and even each other if they are not in the same team) until my Citadel is dead. No matter how many heroes or villagers ready to repair I have, it's game over. Definitely feels like the most unfair match type for this game mode. Any thoughts or tips on how to deal with this, other than praying to RNG it doesn't show up in part 8 or 9? Thanks!

Hello there! You’ve partied in Alfheim with Freyr and rescued Demeter’s cornucopia, but don’t you think the last of the original three civs deserves to get in on the bonus god action, too? So do I! The only god left in Egypt’s vast pantheon that I thought could really justifiably be called a major god is none other than Amun , but there we encounter a problem: Amun really became famous and widely revered after he fused with an existing major god to form Amun-Ra . I personally have no problem with how Ra plays, and I didn’t feel like trying to devise a syncretism mechanic for this game, for please join me in suspending your disbelief just slightly as we introduce some new deities to the roster. I didn’t get too adventurous with this one since I was working within the confines of an existing civilization, but hopefully you all like it. I’m imagining we depict Amun in his Post-Amarna Period incarnation: human in form but with blue skin and big ostrich feathers in his crown. Both his headdress and his skin tone will help distinguish him from Retold’s Ptah, but if need be, we could also go with ram-headed Amun, with or without Technicolor skin. I haven’t seen anyone talk about it, then me and some friends shared some thoughts about it. Thus i came to the conclusion to make a post on it. They utilize small settlements to house large family groups and employ a forging system within them. Their religion is based on ancient Celtic paganism. Druids perform rituals to connect deeply with nature and honor the cycles of the earth, ancestral magic, and the gods of the Celtic pantheon. The Celts do not use siege weapons; instead, they rely on their courage and valor to generate a trance-like state that increases their strength, allowing them to destroy anything in their path for a short time. This state is known as Furor Celtic. Finally, their mythical units are powerful beasts that summon magical attacks, partially damaging enemies and forming the backbone of the Celtic army. Major Gods: Archaic Age: Cernunnos (God of Nature and the Hunt): Recognizable by his stag antlers. He represents fertility, animals, the cycle of life, and the abundance of the forest. Divine Power: Whispers of Nature : Reveals the location of all tameable animals and sends 3 deer to be hunted; the number of deer increases the next time this divine power is cast. With the loosening of restrictions for adding new Gods/ Civilizations in today’s patch, do you think they are winding down AoM? Are they doing this knowing they themselves aren’t planning to add any more content to the game?

Heroic Age Minor Gods Goibniu God of Smithing and Hospitality Focus: Armory Upgrades “You have advanced to the Heroic Age through the labors of Goibniu!” (Available to The Dagda & The Morrígan) Goibniu was the metalsmith of the Tuatha Dé Danann and closely associated with two other craftsman gods, Creidhne the gold/silversmith and Luchtaine the carpenter, together forming the Trí Dée Dána (“three gods of art”) and forging the weapons used to fight the Fomorians. When the king of the Tuatha Dé, Nuada, lost his right arm in battle against the Fir Bolg (the fourth wave of Irish settlers, more on them later), Goibniu forged him a new one made entirely of silver, thus earning him the epithet Airgetlám , “silver-arm.” Goibniu also furnishes the feasts of the Tuatha Dé along with his magical cow; some also theorize that Goibniu is the same character as Culann the smith, from whom the hero Cú Chulainn earned his moniker. To save on space, I’m going to try and keep my background/lore explanations to a minimum in some places, but please do go and read up on Irish mythology! I’ve also chosen not to try and represent these gods, simply because I couldn’t hope to create what’s in my own head and I don’t have the funds to commission an artist. But hey, now you can have fun imagining them yourselves! MAJOR GODS The Dagda God of Fertility, Agriculture, and Strength Focus: Economy and Human Units What’s this? A god with a definite article in front of their name? It’s more likely than you think. Known simply as “the good god” or “the great god” in most stories, though with plenty of other epithets to potentially serve as “names”, The Dagda is the chiefest god of the Tuatha Dé Danann, serving as a patriarch, king, and druid. Associated with many elements, such as fertility, masculinity, magic, wisdom, weather, the seasons, and life and death, he is described as a large, bearded man, or even a giant, wearing a hooded cloak. He also has numerous symbols/relics associated with him, such as his magical staff that can kill with one end and resurrect with the other, a cauldron that never runs empty, and a harp which can fly to him when summoned. Hello there! A quick bit of background before I get into the meat of this post (and there is a lot of it!) I’ve always thought that some sort of pantheon/civilization based on a Celtic people would be a great addition to the Age of Mythology franchise, and I’m not the only one. Being the imaginative person I am, I started pondering how such a civilization might look and play in-game, and I’m here to share these results with you! This took a long time, and I’m quite proud of it. However, one thing I want to make clear right away was the problem I ran into when designing this pantheon: the “Celts” are far from one singular people group with one singular mythology, even less so than the existing pantheons in AoM. A “Pan-Celtic” pantheon felt disingenuous to me, and would draw from too many disparate sources at once, to put it simply. Not to mention, there simply aren’t very many well-attested Celtic gods/myths, especially from Gaul and other continental Celts. I quickly realized the British Isles would be my best source for lots of mythology, and specifically, the Irish Tuatha Dé Danann provided more than enough gods (or fairies, as Christian chroniclers would later transform them) for a diverse, playable pantheon. Exploring the myths and folklore of the Emerald Isle even gave me a good idea for a Retold-style single-player campaign, which I may detail elsewhere if enough folks are interested. However, admittedly, I found trouble finding enough specifically Irish legendary creatures to fill out a roster (at least without resorting to very poorly-attested creatures or more modern creations like the leprechaun and Dullahan), so I also explored the mythologies of nearby Goidelic-speaking peoples – the Scots, Manx, and Orcadians – to create what I’ve decided to call the Gaelic pantheon. IMPACTED: - ALL EDITIONS OF THE GAME - ALL CONSOLES - REINSTALLS - NO MODS - NEW SCENARIOS CREATED, SAVED and ATTEMPTED TO BE RESTORED. Can we please get any update on this matter. it was said half a year ago it was going to be looked into. This feature was working during launch, broken during updates and neglected and never cared for ever since. Whats the joy in creating awesome big scenario's taking hours to complete with your friends that you no longer can resume.
