It has been years of Crossover emulation and now finally we have a MacOS version. It runs smooth and perfect but… How on earth it’s possible that we cannot play with our PC friends. How is possible in BIG 2026 that this release only supports playing online against Mac users, its a complete shame.

My problem is that when I use the 2, 4, 6, and 8 keys—which correspond to the arrow keys—and follow them with a right-click, which happens often when i micro units, the camera locks and moves in the direction supposedly indicated. GAME BUILD #: 175278 GAME PLATFORM: Steam OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows 11 ISSUE EXPERIENCED The recent Windows update KB5089573 makes the game ignore dedicated Nvidia GPUs and switch to the integrated ones even if you force it to use dedicated GPU inside Nvidia app or Windows app settings. Uninstalling KB5089573 resolves the issue. More info in this reddit thread. FREQUENCY OF ISSUE 100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS) REPRODUCTION STEPS Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue: Update your laptop that has two GPUs (one of them Nvidia) with KB5089573. Launch AoE2, launch task manager. Watch AoE2 being choppy, and task manager showing 0% dedicated GPU utilized, even if it’s forced in Windows settings. Uninstall the update to see game returning to normal behaviour. EXPECTED RESULT AoE2 should not care about whatever happens with Windows Update to the point of becoming unplayable.
