I would like if the Mounted Crossbows were given to all the Western European civs as they were not unique to Scandinavia and are more accurate than the CA. The other thing is please change Hearth Troopers name to Hearth Guard if your not going to rename Huscarls as Trooper as the term is used for Cavalry and Police with the Saxon UU is neither. Preferably they would be named Huscarls with the Goth UU name changed Also Varangians for Byzantines

In a 4v4, two of my idiot teammates resign. I should absolutely not be expected to continue in that game 4v2. It’s reasonable to assume it’s basically over from that point and yet if you resign, you get a early resign penalty. The game randomly freezes up and while I’m still in the lobby, I can’t actually click or do anything. So I have to task manager out. I get another penalty. The language filter is temperamental and shouldn’t really exist in the first place (it should at least have an off button). Griefing when you’re the final player on a team by creating dozens of villagers and fishing ships, and hiding them around the map, should absolutely be a punishable offense. But they do fuck all about that as well. I’ve even literally reported people for abuse and I’ve gotten a message saying they did fuck all about it. What the fuck are they doing? They’re happy to take the moral high ground on swearing (but only in some circumstances) but give little fuck about toxic players ruining the game. These are issues that were plaguing this game years and years ago. What the fuck are the mods doing that they can’t resolve basic shit like this? They’re happy to keep churning out new civs to get our money, but some of the most easily fixed problems they just ignore.

We already had a rework of a classic civilization with the Persians, 3K did the same with the Chinese, and finally, with the upcoming DLC, it seems they'll be changing Viking architecture. So, what changes are you willing to accept? Architecture, unit changes, UU changes, etc.

This would be a nice change. The reason being, the waldensians were “ordinary italians”, who lived separate for almost a thousand years and thus developed their own identity. Campaigns wouuld be great: While in the first centuries, they were peaceful and slaughtered constantly, they started to fight back in the 1400s. Identity: Religion or People? The Waldensians were originally a purely religious movement and not a distinct ethnic group . However, centuries of brutal persecution and geographic isolation forged such a powerful socio-cultural identity that they historically functioned like a distinct cultural group. The Origin (12th Century): Founded around 1170 by Peter Waldo in Lyon, France, it began as a Christian lay movement focused on apostolic poverty and Bible translation. Its early members came from completely different regions across Europe. Warfare and Resistance (The Myth of Absolute Pacifism) For the first few centuries, the Waldensians strictly followed a pacifist doctrine, refusing to kill or swear oaths. However, the historical image that they never fought back before the 16th century is a myth. Desperation forced local groups and individuals to resist much earlier: Alpine Stone Throwing (Late 14th Century): In the narrow rock gorges of the Alps, Waldensian peasants realized they held the high ground. When soldiers or inquisitors marched up the narrow paths, locals rolled massive boulders and pelted them with stones, forcing retreats. The Innozenz Crusade (1487/1488): When Pope Innocent VIII launched a formal crusade against the Alpine Waldensians, the valleys organized a coordinated armed response. So far, we’ve created a lot of hypothetical civilizations here for fun, for the romance of the idea, or simply because we wanted to see them in the game. But this time, how about putting ourselves in the developers’ shoes and trying to predict which civilizations could realistically be added in the future? To do that, I think we should first look at some of the civilizations that have already been added and see what kinds of precedents they have created. a. Three Kingdoms (Wei, Shu, Wu) → Let’s treat this as an exception. It received a lot of criticism, so I don’t think they will release civilizations in this way again. b. Vikings (splitting them into multiple civilizations) → This is a pretty interesting precedent. It shows that a broader “people” or civilization can be divided into several more specific civilizations. c. Burgundians → The reason I bring them up is that they show how a state does not necessarily need to have survived into the modern era. Even if it was eventually annexed or disappeared, a polity that left a significant name in history can still be represented as its own civilization. There are probably many other conditions we could consider, but I’ll leave those to you. Below are some hypothetical civilizations that have frequently been mentioned around here. I’ll give my own thoughts on whether I think each of them could realistically be added. Of course, opposing opinions are more than welcome. Croatians → I honestly don’t see much reason why they couldn’t be added. Serbians → Same here. Albanians → They already have a potential UU represented in AOE3, so if the developers ever decide to try them, I think they could immediately become a serious candidate. Swiss → I also think they are among the candidates that could be added relatively soon. Siamese (Thai) → Same here. Tibetans → I think this civilization is impossible for political reasons. Sogdians → They already have a UU in the game, so if the developers decide to give them a try, I think th

So we can protect lumbers and mines with palisades and houses. But that doesnt protect from archers right? I saw a player doing towers in the lumber. Is that effective with all civs to deter flush? Though if they upgrade them? I just really dislike early combat. When we fight with 3 or 4 units. Its really annoying.

Reminder that there are played in ranked who don't know how to lure boards (no offence to them) and they are still having more fun that most of us at their elo!!! In fact the higher the elo, the less fun each game feels like so don't be afraid to go to ranked just cause you'll lose because trust me like 99.9% of us lost our first couple of games of ranked so no biggie. Just try it and have fun playing wtv u want and remember if you lose blame the random opening in your wall cause of hills or civ matchup meaning you had could do ntg and you are good to go

- Enable a new 'Conquest Mode' checkbox in the campaign screen, right next to the difficulty drop down, that can be selected before starting each scenario we play. In Conquest Mode, a new button appears in all your TC's ui box that let's you 'DECLARE VICTORY!' and end the scenario - and the scenario doesn't end until you click that button. - The button is greyed out until you accomplish all the scenario's objectives, but achieving all the objectives doesn't automatically end the scenario. - In scenarios where you can't build TCs, the button appears on your starting units instead. - Conquest Mode changes nothing about the AI's scripting. So if an AI is programmed to stop playing or spawning units in response to a certain triggering objective, it will continue to do so. If no such trigger exists, then it will keep up its futile fight, letting you toy with it at your leisure. ;) - A new achievement is added to Steam - 'YOU MONSTER!!' - that requires you to win any whole campaign while playing in Conquest Mode for all its scenarios.

2 months ago town center rush (douche) was very popular, nowadays I don't see anymore. Then FC into CA raids, don't see anymore. Then it was Gujara phosporu with Chakrams. Last time i saw this was last week. Nowadays I see a lot of MAA into ram push with pikes (which i'm quite proud of learning how to counter). Strategies have some ebbs and flows lately, its as if pros start posting vids and players are executing their strats.
