Hello friends and welcome to a very unique game. This is not going to be a full cast. This is going to be something a little bit more unique than that because something happens which is both infuriating and hilarious. So, I think you guys are going to like it. This is a low elo legend game. We had 800 elo Sammy Stampede here in the red playing as the Franks. So, maybe ready to stampede with the with the Frankish knights. And then over here in the blue, we have Brony Branch. Brony Branch the great defensive Byzantines. After an uneventful feudal age, red gets the castle age much faster. Getting good economic upgrades, dropping the second town center for more vills. Also, ready to stampede. I believe that knight may or may not be stuck. We've got eight stables here and we've got well, seven knights in queue on top of the eight already on the field. Blue isn't necessarily ready for this. And blue is just casually making some spears, making some camels which is good against knights, but is already like 13 villagers behind and doesn't know that of course. I should point out this is going to become important later. The map is Kilimanjaro. So, you have you don't have as many resources on this map as other maps. It's very very open. And [snorts] you have some confusing aspects where there's like the normal minable stone and then you have these rocks. These rocks you can't take stone from, okay? I've seen some noobs try and build mining camps on them. It's confusing. Those stones are just there for visual effect. 31 minutes into the game, Sammy Stampede is here. 15 knights just now getting full upgrades. Blue on the other hand, at least for the camels only has one attack upgrade. And while Byzantine camels are really cheap, Byzantines they don't get like bloodlines. And so, missing all those upgrades combined with red having a really big numbers advantage here leads to a really big fight. It's kind of an easy clear and of course, what does any panic player do? Hey guys, Spirit of the Law here. In this video, we're going to be ranking the best Imperial skirmishers in Age of Empires 2. Only Vietnamese get Imperial skirmishers, you say, [music] making this a very quick list. However, since it's a team unit, basically any civilization can get access to it with a Vietnamese ally. The only exception is Turks, who don't get elite skirms, so they end up being blocked out entirely as you can't skip over upgrades in AoE, too. In compensation, they do get pretty good geneturs though. As a quick refresher, the Imperial skirmisher is a 300 wood and 300 gold upgrade for Vietnamese and their allies, which beyond a visual upgrade gives skirmishers plus one attack, an extra bonus damage against archers, and then cavalry archers who end up taking both of those, as well as plus one pierce armor. Technically, they also go from 85 to 90% accuracy as well, though, with Thring, they're already at 100% accuracy anyway. That plus one attack can actually be a bigger deal than it sounds. And to take one example, a fully upgraded Hzar has six pierce armor. So an elite skirmisher's seven attack does one damage per javelin. Imperial skirmisher's eight attack after bracer and chemistry then means they do two damage. So doubling their effectiveness or having their terribleness, however you want to frame that. For this list, I'm actually much less worried about cost efficiency and discounts than usual, and it's more about which skirmishers actually earn a seat at the table being good enough to be worth making a team game. With that, we'll start off our top 10 with the Sarissens. There are a lot of fully upgraded skirmisher civilizations, but sarissens manage to rise just above the pack with their team bonus, which does affect skirmishers, letting them deal three damage instead of the usual one against most buildings. Admittedly, it's not as useful in the late game as feudal age breaking through palisade walls, but it is at least an extra wild card. I've
