What's up, people lovers? What did you have happened in June 2026? Just for completion's sake, I will give you the results of Warlords. So, obviously we covered that Hera lost to Louis late May. And then Leirey took his chance and won the tournament um after a very long time. After loss of lost finals, after not making some finals. And yeah, after I think Red Bull 4 or something, like 2021. It feels like um last time he won a tournament. And good to see him win this one. I see him with a really nice performance for him as well. Made it an interesting final there. And now Leirey's big next quest should be winning a LAN final again. I think he is Owen eight or something in in LAN finals. So, that uh will be interesting to see maybe something um switched now for him. At least that's what you can hope for him. Then we have Hera hosting a streamer invitational tournament. That's basically targeted for people that aren't experts in Age of Empires 2. And people absolutely loved it for so many reasons. First of all, it was really nice because you see a lot of familiar faces from the other games, lots of people that you might like, even love. Day 9, Grubby, Atrioc is back, and lots of e-sport personalities there. And then you could sweat with them, like see them improve, like see the ladder grind. The mood was good. And, yeah. In the end, it was Grubby winning 3-2 for the $10,000 total prize pool against Piguefire. Obviously, both started relatively high. Uh there were some teams before, some ladder runs. And, [music] people of all loved that Hera had crazy viewer numbers. And, yeah. As I said, it it felt like you could sweat with the players. Some new people got introduced to this as well. And, it actually ended up being crazy when it came to viewer numbers on Twitch alone. Obviously, this does not include YouTube. YouTube is adding on top of this. GAME INFORMATION GAME BUILD #: 179158 (June 28, 2026) GAME PLATFORM: Steam OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows 11 / Windows 10 / Windows 8 / Windows 7 / Mac / Linux ISSUE EXPERIENCED Over the last year or so we’ve noticed a ridiculous increase in unbalanced team ranked matches matched by this game’s algorithm. I’m aware of how the TG calculation works but this to me looks like a malfunction as we’ve been getting these matches 2-3 times a night. 50+ ELO lost every other night to these. Last week we fought a famous top 10 player who happened to be 1700 in TGs, we are 1300 players and there were plenty of other players our level queuing as matches were found instantly during that time. FREQUENCY OF ISSUE This happens in every 3 games out of 10 games we play. So 25%-30% of the time 25%-30% of the time / matches I play REPRODUCTION STEPS Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue: Create a ranked team game and queue 2v2/3v3/4v4 with 1250-1400 ELO players (all friends on Steam), this happens more often with 3v3 and 4v4 matches Launch queue with or without banning any maps Within 20-40 seconds receive a match against players not our level (1600-2400 ELO) EXPECTED RESULT Have more balanced team game match ups. I loved every minute of the Teutonic Healing Fortress showdown against Yamato in the Hera's ladder tournament. Are there any other unique, legendary, whacky games that come to your mind?

I just bought the game on sale, only vaguely knowing about it being a beloved classic, primarily to have something I can play without heating my space to much (Europe has a bit of a heat wave atm, and I don’t have AC). Also, the art style in the screenshots looked gorgeous haha. Besides trying out pikmin at some point (and not really getting into it), I’ve never touched a RTS game in my life. Honestly, I expected something more like fast paced Anno but with armies, but that’s on me for buying a game without any research haha. Anyway, I’ve played the Scottish tutorial campaign and quite enjoyed it, mostly felt a bit frustrated/overwhelmed regarding the tech tree they made me open and about unit types. Afterwards, the game funneled me into the arts of war tutorials, where I scraped out a silver medal after 5 tries or so on the first mission, with seconds to spare. That mission had a very different vibe compared to the scotish campaign, and felt much more stressful. Are those missions necessary „git gud“ lessons needed for single player, or more about prepping people for PvP? Or in other words, should I go through them (and what medals should I aim for? Gold felt absolutely impossible), or can I just pick up a story campaign featuring a civilization intriguing me? I ask, since most threads I found are about beginners wanting to improve at PvP and ranked, which I am not really interested in at the moment.

Build last one Platform:Xbox Series X Subject: Xbox Series X – Keyboard & Mouse input is broken in AoE 2: DE (Villager and Selection bugs) Hi Developers, I am an AoE veteran who has been playing RTS games with a keyboard and mouse (KBM) since the 386 PC and PlayStation 2 eras. I refuse to use controllers or casual “Auto-Eco” automations. RTS belongs to KBM. Unfortunately, the current state of KBM support on Xbox Series X is broken and feels completely abandoned. Here are the two major issues making the game unplayable for me: 1. Villager Idle Bug (Move vs. Build priority) About 6 months ago, an update completely ruined villager behavior for KBM players. The Issue: When I select a villager, place a building foundation, and click it, the villager walks to the center of the foundation, stops, and goes completely IDLE . They refuse to build. This bug forces me to constantly babysit and micro-manage every single villager just to get a basic house or barracks built. It worked perfectly at launch, but you broke it months ago and never fixed it. 2. Building Selection & Deletion Bug The Issue: Frequently, clicking on a building (mine or enemy’s) does not register at all. The building refuses to get selected, meaning I cannot perform vital actions like deleting/demolishing my own structures. I have to click away multiple times and spam click back on the building to get the game to register the input. This is a severe UI/input focus issue within the console port, not a hardware problem. Please stop treating KBM players on Xbox as invisible. We want a raw, functional RTS experience with a mouse, just like we had decades ago. Had a funny interaction yesterday. I was playing ranked 1v1s, as Slavs (like always) and the map Fortress comes up (not my pick). Game loads, I type "gl hf :)" as I always do, and about 5 seconds later the opp resigns. Confusing, I think, but smurfs are pretty common so I'll take the elo. But NO, they type! "sorry, I know what glhf means" "you have a cheese strat planned" "I'm not in the mood" Then they exit the game before I could question what cheese strat Slavs could execute on Fortress. I guess that's what I get for trying to be nice. So yeah, next time you're after an insta-win, consider typing glhf! P.S. Yesterday I lost my TC and 8-10 vils at around min 15. I really don't mean to be salty, but a game like this is as much fun as one where someone just drops after 10-15 min. It is just a waste of time. I don't even see a point in trying to defend this. I've played over a 1000+ games and this is the first thing where I am just waiting for the game to end from minute 1. I really have to fight the urge to just call gg right away and roll the next game just to save me and everybody else the most pointless 10 minutes of our lifetime. I've read through the advice some people have written about this. Fast castle + siege workshop-mangonal isn't fast enough - you're dead even before your first mangonel pops. Walling behind like you can against tower-rushes shouldn't work reliably as well. 3 rams filled with infantry kill a gate within seconds. The most common advice I've seen is going blindly all-in-feudal. The thing is: you have to commit to that decision before you get any intel of them actually going for that strat. That in it on itself is bad design for a strategy game. But on top of that: If you go that way and the cuman player goes 2 TC-boom, you're dead as well. Change my mind, but feudal age longswords and rams are fine on their own, but not even remotely balanced as a combination on a closed map like Arena. Of course: if you are lucky or they mess it up, you might still survive, but I seriously doubt that there is a reliable way to stop this which isn't suicide if they don't happen to go for this exact strat. Edit: I think just some minor tweaks could help a lot. Either: a) don't allow allied units to garrison into rams before castle age b) Remove speed and attack bonus from garrisoned - or even only from garrisoned allied units - in feudal age. Edit2: I checked the replay. They were at my gates at 13:50 with 4 rams and 10 ls. Gates went down in about 15s. From there it took only a minute to kill my tc and 1/3 of my vills. It was over at 15:10. There is nothing else

Hello everyone, I have just installed AoE2:DE on my father’s Mac so he can play as he did a few years ago. He is a super fan of Italy real world map, but he says that he remembers the Alps being closed and Corsica and Sardinia secluded. I’m trying to edit the map on the scenario editor but I can’t found it. Does someone of you know any place where I can find it? or any mod? thanks a lot to everyone

Last week we fought a famous top 10 player who happened to be 1700 in TGs, we are 1300 players… This match took ~25 seconds to queue, which means there were many players our and their level who were queuing, then why on earth do we keep getting these unbalanced matches almost instantly?

In a 3v3 one teammate quit at the start and still was visible (the “eye” next to their name) while the game progressed. We carried on. At first I was annoyed they quit but then I realized that a teammate could quit and feed intel to the other team(s). At the end of the game, their profile was blank in comparison to the others: no ELO, W/L record, no window even came up when I hovered over the icon - it was just a blank silhouette of a person. What is that? Did I guess right?
