He knows exactly where the enemy TC is now. Uh and of course, you could like scout the map a little bit easier that way. And then we got random stranger. The correct behaviour is issuing new attack orders no faster than the time required to finish a volley (meaning a javelin is actually thrown and there is actually a chance to deal the enemy damage - if no javelin is thrown then there is no chance to get value out of the units or to deal any damage to the opponent’s units). It may be something to do with SSL certificates. Who knows?! Go to AOE2de Folder in steam, right click AoE2DE_s.exe > Properties > Compatibility and Turn OFF/untick Run as administartor. Then click: Change settings for all users > Turn OFF/untick Run as administartor. Apply and ok. Restart PC, Go back and ensure run as administrator is still unticked for all users. Start in steam. [DID THIS STEP] Go to Steam, Game properties (Right click the game's name on the drop down list on the side or wherever you can access properties) / Go to installed files and browse. Right click the AoE2DE.exe and properties, compatibility tab, uncheck run as admin (May be grayed out and locked) click change settings for all users if you are the admin (More likely you are), change it in that place instead. I have been enjoying the Japanese lately since coming back to the game. I find if I get off a good MAA rush followed by some archers I can build on that momentum and change to knights in castle age or stay on xbow add some siege and end the game. However, I run into issue vs calvary archer civs. I always have problems with Huns, Mongols and Tatars. I did feel a bit justified looking at their WR is the lowest vs these civs, but there has to be a way to deal with them that I am missing? If the game go long the combo of Hussar and their mass cav archers feel impossible to deal with.

Capped ram: 2 base damage, 200 bonus damage. Rate of fire: every 5 seconds champion: 15 base attack, 40 bonus damage. rate of fire:every 2 seconds

How would you try to play this as lithuanians? I'm around 1200 rn and I basically always scout rush then adapt. I tried pikes and monks instead and got destroyed. Gave up all map presence lost the relics and got ground down with castle drops.

Constantly floating around 1100. Anytime I try to push higher towards 1200 I usually get pushed back. I know I could probably macro better, rewatch more games etc. Any more advice? I feel like most of my losses come in the late game

Xbox player here, just completed a game where all of my building went invisible, majority of my vills, and about all of my army as well. Was able to keep playing by hot keys— especially select all idle military, idle vills, and building hot keys Ended up getting the win (obviously back packed by teammates), but I was able to get a small mass of heavy scorps and help out a little! And had more kills than deaths at the end despite running what vills I could away! Fun game, I guess? 11 Always play out your TG!

So I played AoE 2 as a child and teen, but never on a competitive level, never online, just struggling to finish the campaign. But I sometimes like to watch T90, and i was watching some low ELO legends, and I thought to myself, you know what? Even with my inexistent skills, I could probably be good enough to hang with the low ELO peeps, so I got on steam, and checked if the DE version happened to be on sale, and just my luck, it was. So I get the game, and jump in an online match with the Slavs (I want to play slavs) and it's an arena match. And let me tell you, playng DE feels so good. It felt like I returned to a place I new long ago, a place where I belong. Anyway, my oponent is moving fast and I can't keep up. He's advancing fast through the ages, and I keep falling behind, but I don't really mind. I'm just happy to be playing. So he beats me, then we team up for another 2 games, but we get oponents who move faster than him (and me, obviously). So yeah, that was my 1st day back in AoE. I'm a bit overwhelmed. Don't really know what to do, or what to prioritize. I know making tons of vills is important, but idk what to do army wise. When should I start making armies? And witch ones? And when should I stop making vills? Should I ever stop? My oponent turned team mate said he wanted to play only Arena. Why is that? It seamed that everyone was going fast imp, is that an arena thing? It's how I played when I was little but I was under the impression it's not really how the game is played. Regardless, I'm so happy to start this journey, and have no intention of quitting any time soon

Sometimes you genuinely get people who try and communicate, make a strat, and say what they need. This is, perhaps 10% of my games, the other 90% are split between: Players playing a 1v1/2v2, and immediately surrendering once they are losing without saying anything Players communicating once their base is gone, blaming their team for not noticing it. Players doing a 4 TC boom while their flank is being all-ined by the opposing team. I've both lost and won 3v4 situations where a random person not seeing the state of the game resigned, while the other side was crushing it. I expected this to get better as I got higher rank, but at some point you get matched with 3 random players, against a full premade team on coms, it's fun if you still win those because your team actually talks, but that's rarely the case. In the past I played TG's with friends, I've never enjoyed 1v1's, not as a kid, not now, but seeing as most of my friends, after thousands of hours have moved on, it's a mixed experience for me, and the skill level disparity is enormous. 1700TG elo feels like a different playing field from 1400 TG elo, and yet these get lumped together frequently. I'm wondering if I've hit the cap at what I can do queuing solo, when at least half my games are just more frustrating than enjoyable.
