Yes, I know the history that FE tried twice to contact Disney to do a SWGB DE and they didnt get an answer both times. Disney used to have an exclusive deal with EA, but ended on 2023. Then somebody explain why it couldnt be done. Microsoft/FE could do the investment and then Disney get their cut? Or is Disney who would finance the DE? I am wanting to watch some aoe 2 creators in some of the lower elo range just to see what they do and know what to expect when I start playing ranked. However, whenever I look up aoe2 ranked gameplay on YouTube, the entire search feed is Hera and T90. Does anyone have recommendations?

For Return of Rome. Minimap centered mod from the community works pretty well for both AoE2 and Return of Rome. The problem is that the control groups is overriding the centered minimap, basically it didn’t move. But this is only in RoR. In AoE2:DE isn’t a problem. This is how it looks: What I was looking is to fix this. Even downloading the “Control groups - Fixed Positions (TheViper edition)” mod doesn’t resolve it (lower or higher). Was bummed a lot yesterday since we wanted to play for the first time in weeks. Organised everyone for today. Now I see that another maintenance round is coming up just a day after the last. Pretty fed up that we in Europe always get server downtime during our primary prime play time; two days in a row as well.

I picked up DE after years playing in voobly and GR. It's been like 2 months. And I have no friends or contacts from there. Nobody talks, nobody adds. Nothing. Its just playing with new randoms everyday. In GR and voobly i had rivals and enemies. People that would enter the lobby just to insult me and call me noob. I could nudge them and call them noob. People challenging me for a 1v1 because of a minor disagreement. Now I have to say something really unhinged to have a reaction out of them. Cause nobody talks. I had friends i made from years in the other platforms. And we would play no rush, sometimes no rules. And we knew each other levels. We would split and make fair teams that always gave such interesting games. Some of these guys were some funny characters, that played in a very specific way. And we knew their playstyle so well, they couldn't even smurf. If the game disconnected we would all wait to restore the game. Now its just slop games. With early quitters. No real attachment to the game itself. Forced to play stupid ass maps we dont care about. Loved how voobly was mostly BF lord, and always interesting games. Some of these players refuse to go to DE, perhaps because of this.
